QUOTE(ronnie @ May 10 2011, 09:43 AM) "Why so many cards? Well, with 7 or maybe 6 since the UOB PB VISA and MC may be considered as one, my entire family can enter KLIA or LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge " Do you mean that you can bring 6 other people even there's one principal holder for each of the 6/7 cards ? more like using each card for one entry. I need extra 3 actually since my eldest and wife got their own cards that allows them free entry. Last time I was there, I use my cards to let my parents in too because they didn't take their UOB cards along. This post has been edited by Gen-X: May 10 2011, 10:00 AM

QUOTE(rain55 @ May 9 2011, 09:17 PM) sorry to post in wrong section, but i think it smthing related to his job, sorry ! why a waiter want to paying for customer expense? he put his own sig and own ic, no intention to fake it was few years ago ,now he said remmber it was an order list, customer check items n sign on it, and he put his sig on back....not bill..Lol » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This is how fraud/forgery case works.
If card holder make complaint to bank and bank will request for signed receipt from shop.. If the shop give a receipt with different signature then bank has the rights to reverse the charge.
But then again....
As a credit card holder, you are supposed to take care of your own card and agreed for that when you collected/activated your card. So when your card is lost you should contact bank asap or else any charges made to your card shall be payable by your goodself.
So the conclusion is :- Its actually very hard to say what action would the bank takes unless with solid proof. In your friend's case, why did he write his IC on it? he should just sign and forget about it.

Citibank's card is hard to get if you're a new/new customer (no cards, no loans) you can try to get a HLB card first then apply for citi.

You guys think Citibank is tough, OCBC Bank tougher, people with good history (so they claim) and holding Platinum cards and income more than RM36K/year also rejected by them with applying for Titanium MasterCard. Then again, got people also earning less than RM36K but OCBC approve their TMC application.

QUOTE(charymsylyn @ May 7 2011, 11:13 PM) Credit card issuers usually waive interest charges if the balance is paid in full each month, but typically will charge full interest on the entire outstanding balance from the date of each purchase if the total balance is not paid.
For example, if a user had a $1,000 transaction and repaid it in full within this grace period, there would be no interest charged. If, however, even $1.00 of the total amount remained unpaid, interest would be charged on the $1,000 from the date of purchase until the payment is received. The precise manner in which interest is charged is usually detailed in a cardholder agreement which may be summarized on the back of the monthly statement. The general calculation formula most financial institutions use to determine the amount of interest to be charged is APR/100 x ADB/365 x number of days revolved. Take the annual percentage rate (APR) and divide by 100 then multiply to the amount of the average daily balance (ADB) divided by 365 and then take this total and multiply by the total number of days the amount revolved before payment was made on the account. Financial institutions refer to interest charged back to the original time of the transaction and up to the time a payment was made, if not in full, as RRFC or residual retail finance charge. Thus after an amount has revolved and a payment has been made, the user of the card will still receive interest charges on their statement after paying the next statement in full (in fact the statement may only have a charge for interest that collected up until the date the full balance was paid, i.e. when the balance stopped revolving).http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Credit_card#Interest_chargesThe exact charging formula is described at the back of your credit card statement. Also note the compounding interest nature of conventional credit cards. The general Malaysian bank practise is to charge interest on unpaid balances up to the last payment date to avoid the residual retail finance charge described above. ic, which mean citibank require u to return full, else no interest free period la? did all bank do like that? or only citibank behave like this? so far other bank i never see this behaviour le.

Certain cards require you to call to activate. Always refer to the letter accompanying the card when it is sent to you for further instructions.
