i am not sure where to ask so i will start from here...

basically, the virtual network operator (called PennyTel) that i ve been using here in Australia juz switched from 1 of the big telco to another (SingTel Optus -> Vodafone Australia)...

it used to display "YES OPTUS" as the network name on the lock screen, notification bar and phone status, but now with the new SIM card, it displays "PennyTel" on the lockscreen and notification bar, but "vodafone AU" in phone status...

so is there anyway to change the network name on the lockscreen?

if wanted to update go gingerbread do we need flash RUU back ?? or can update it with root ?

Can anyone recommend the most stable/best RADIO rom for Maxis?

Using Radio 32.54.00.32U_5.14.05.17 since MIUI 1.5.6, so far so good and this is the recommended radio version.

all the while I'm using 32.49, so far ok.
just upgraded to 32.56 (skip 32.54 coz tested be4 not improved)
slightly improved with it's GB RIL.

Flashed InsertCoin v26, cool lockscreen with shortcuts. Some Games and Google Maps keep crashing though

hmm, what? my lockscreen doesn't have any shortcuts? How do you setup the shortcuts?

what are the games specifically that crashed?

Ya, V26 is a bit buggy on the lockscreen and some 3D games crashes. Wait for a stable release, meanwhile back to V25.

I'm planning to flash to insertcoin, since its buggy I hv double thoughts now. Any one mind sharing Insertcoin dialer keypad? Can copy paste numbers?

USB transfer too slow? Get Multi Mount SD from the Market, to fix it.
