I think all banks are waiting for the correct time, after Christmas, new year and CNY, debts are accumulating and people will start to opt for balance transfer, and that's when they will launch the promo again. It needs strategy though.

Just my thoughts tongue.gif

Well I can see that most banks still have no offer for 2012 for 0% balance transfer program. Time will tell which bank will kick-start first, and others will follow, not wanting to lose in the market.

Added on February 1, 2012, 12:31 amRHB has it, but I guess not many of us hold RHB credit card.

With installment Plan at minimum 4%, I don't think CIMB we offer 0% BT for this first half of the year.

And what did you mean by "can" make PC purchases now? Why can't go with 0% installment?

I hate to say this, but even HSBC flexi payment is better, 3% one time charge for 10 months flexi payment, minimum RM1000.

with CIMB Transaction Alerts and Secure ePay (via SMS) I wonder if this is yet another way to put the entire blame on card users just like the 3D Secure crap?

when you spend over a certain amount, they will sms you but if you do nothing, that means you are okay with that transaction. now what if our phones are hijack? or what if we are sleeping or in a meeting and didnt see that message?

initially this may seem like a good secure idea but they should ok the transaction only if we reply and not if we dont reply. any inputs?
