QUOTE(Gen-X @ Feb 7 2012, 05:25 PM) Why don't you go do On The Spot Redemption at selected merchants. Click here. That's a good idea! I thought on the spot redemption is only available with MBB cards! Now, perhaps I can shop for my BBQ grill from BBQ King! Thank you! 120,000 points is like RM600, just invite your friends and family to dinner at Amarin or Shogun, easily used up. Also can use at Dome and KFC |

Hi, I received a call back from CIMB after terminating my card. They are offering me either a Visa Signature or Infinite in order to retain me. Which card is better card to keep?
Moreover they are also offsetting the GST and offer to rebate RM50 if I spent RM200 in 30 days. Seems like quite worthwhile to keep for another year. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 10 2013, 05:42 PM) (1) RM200 in 30 days, did you try to negotiate that term? (1) No, given straight away before I say anything(2) How often you swipe your current card? (3) That VS or VI offer is upgrade offer OR you get another card and retain the current one? (2) I used to spent more than RM10k a month a year ago before I switched to Maybank 2 cards. Now I hardly swipe anything, except occasional meals at Absolute Thai. (3) it is an upgrade offer. So which card is better or they are similar? |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 10 2013, 05:58 PM) Not much difference between these two, but I would take the VI as it gives cash rebate instead of points. Sometimes VI will give higher discount at certain dining partners too. Visa Signature Hotelclub gives away a complimentary nights and it seems more attractive compare to the discounts on dining. Correct me if I'm wrong that Amex gives good discount on dining too comparable to Visa Infinte. On another hand, even booking hotel via Agoda using Maybank is only 7% discount. So, in terms of saving, a complimentary night is much better, right? I couldn't find any info on cash rebate, do you mind to provide the link to me? Many thanks. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 10 2013, 09:36 PM) http://www.cimbbank.com.my/creditcard/inde...&pg=cc_lu&ac=10 Yes, thanks for the reminder. For the Hotelclub, I tried to check via this link: www.hotelclub.com/CIMB. As it needs the 6 digits credit card number to enter, I am yet to check their rates. Current promotion is additional 15% off and the additional complimentary night is on valid for the selected hotels being featured in the month only. Well yeah, it depends on you need. I will need to check on the complimentary nights add: you better compare the rates offered by HotelClub and other sites. They are comparatively higher in my dummy searchs. No indication of the complimentary night though. The VI cash rebate is only 0.5%, how does it compare with MBB Amex? |

QUOTE(JPSB @ Aug 5 2013, 04:27 PM) Plaza Premium in KLIA is no longer "premium & exclusive" Yes, that's right. But since it is complimentary and I won't be using it, I thought might be good to pass to my friends to use it. food offering morning & afternoon has been poor to my own opinion. Outside Cafe is much better when you are paying QUOTE(Human Nature @ Aug 5 2013, 05:16 PM) Multiple is acceptable too Thanks, any idea when the week starts?Upon successful registration as per Clause 5 above, the Eligible Cardholder must spend a minimum cumulative total spending of RM1,000 (“Minimum Weekly Transactions”), within ONE (1) Participating Week (as defined below). |

QUOTE(NestKing @ Sep 20 2013, 11:17 PM) erm, must enter all the cimb cards details then only can see the 7% discount? coz normal agoda.com & agoda.com/cimb also showing me the final price rm1123.32... QUOTE(ronnie @ Sep 20 2013, 11:24 PM) Yup, Ronnie is right. You might want to try to compare with Asiatravel (9% discount with CIMB). Book now at http://www.asiatravel.com/cards/cimb-my/. Don't forget to enter promo code: CIMB9 for the discount.I realised that Asiatravel has a cheaper rate than Agoda for local and Singapore hotels. Another travel site will be HotelClub.com/CIMB but very limited choices. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(mletee @ Sep 25 2013, 12:22 PM) Sorry, not a brother. An old Aunty here. Yup, definitely safe, I have used Asiatravel many times a couple of years back but not recently. I will always compare Asiatravel, Agoda and the corporate rates I've got. As always, nothing beats the corporate rates I'm using even after the discounts from CIMB or MBB. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Nov 17 2013, 03:13 PM) For CIMB pay with points, it states that purchases must be worth at least RM25. As long as I buy something above RM25, I can use my points right even though my points are just few hundreds? I just did that in Absolute Thai few months ago. I used up 800++ points before the expiry date and pay remaining balance with my card. CIMB-Isetan promotion gets better with every RM100 spent in Isetan Eat Paradise @ 1U, Isetan card members are entitled for RM10 vouchers from now till 31/12/13. Restaurants are inclusive of Tonkatsu by Ma Maison, Menya Musashi, Gantetsu, Ichiro Sushi Bar, etc. Awesome food |
