QUOTE(lichyetan @ Jul 6 2007, 08:07 PM) been gone through xtremesystem forums before, for the mcp-655(D5) i think its not so good to overvolt it as it only generate for heat and just a little head pressure if i am not wrong... those xtremesystem forum people do did a test but u got to go there find for it as its an old topic there... http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/12Volts - 3Feet 24Volts - 10Feet That doesn't seem a little. At least that's what swiftech website states.

Mana swiftech cakap? According to Cathar ngan Maxxracer, more then 13v does not yield any real gains except increased temps. And never take swiftech's data without at least a grain of salt http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=41495and isit 13.8 feet HMax and wattage is 24W shawty? QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jul 6 2007, 07:24 PM) MZ, i realized that my Swiftech MCP655 aka Laing D5 has a rated voltage of 8-24volts. As we all already know, PSU gives only up to 12volts. Does this means when i'm using this pump at 12volts the pump is not running at it's full voltage yet? Please explain. Yeah it is able to be fed with voltage up to 24volts for input flexibility lah (coz bear in mind this is also an industrial pump). But as almostthere has mentioned, there is no noticeable increase in performance at more than 12.8volts, only more heat dump. I nvr bothered to overvolt my D5 though. The AquaXtreme 50Z benefits from overvolting more than the D5 though.

all,
just a quick question here...any water cooling will definitely have a better cooling performance over air cooling?
is this true? i am considering getting a water cooling set...Thermaltake BigWater 735 ATX/BTX Liquid Cooling System probably... just want to make sure so not to waste my money...
currently i'm using Zalman cnps9500 heatsink...

Not true. You're better off with high end heatsinks than low end water-cooling. We covered this just a few pages back: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/180866/+1660#

You better save your money rather than getting that crappy bgiwater. If you're serious in getting into watercooling, get ready to spend at least RM5xx.

Pic of it mounted And I don't like the fact it's micro channels are too fine Possibly flow restrictive which defeats such a design's aim

QUOTE(adthely @ Jul 12 2007, 02:10 PM) any comments bout CM Aquagate S1 ? asyik2 swiftech jek...jeles ni..heahheahhea Because spending money on CM or Tt watercooling sets is an equivalent to throwing money into the drain. Either you get a good watercooling setup or you stick to good air cooling

hahahha .. seems like sHawTY is really damn pissed off with TT or CM WC stuffs...
but anyway that's the very truth coz I was one of the TT wc user that got disappointed so much despite RM500+ that spent on the sucky TT wc kit ...
No match to a high end air cooler ... and far from real WC kit ...
If really running low on budget than Gigabyte is a better option ..
at least doesn't performs too bad ...
