My guess is that it has become permanent feature of the card.

Of course the promo is good for Petronas Visa cardholders

In my opinion, for those who travel outstation often and pump more than RM500/month, this card is great since there is no monthly petrol cap unlike the other 5% cash back cards.

From now on, i will pump shell with amex on wekdays and petronas with mbb petronas card on weekend... Lucky i keep mbb petronas card...

what is the difference if you pump with MBB Petronas on Weekdays at Petronas? And won't you earn more if you pump with MBB 2 AMEX at Shell on weekends

Bcos shell give more km... I prefer shell over petronas but seems petronas can get 8x on weekend, why not?

If you use MBB2 AMEX, it'll give you a total of 7.5% rebate:

5% from cash rebate (provided that you haven't max out the RM 50 cap)
2.5% from 10000 TP on RM 50 redemption

If you use MBB Petronas Visa, it gives you only 4% rebate for 10000 TP on RM 50 redemption

Unless you redeem RM50 Parkson Voucher at 9300 TreatsPoints : 4.3%

That is just for reference. RM 50 GST redemption with 10k TP.

Some needs higher TP and some needs lower TP.

which petrol credit card is the best at the moment? i have rhb travel credit card and my latest is public bank mobil esso card.

You're looking for pure cash back, point collection or mixture of both?

You can get MBB2 AMEX. Only on weekends. Petronas cannot support. 5% up to RM 50 cap.

Alternatively, you can try UOB 1 Card or Citibank Cash back. 5% up to RM 30 cap.

OCBC Titanium also good 5% up to RM 50 (I think).

Yupe, OCBC Ti gives 5% for all petrol transactions with RM50 cap.
