My car is using petronas mach5 (20w-50).
Petronas stations sell at RM69.
But I bought from my father's friend who is a tauke of bike workshop, only RM38 nia. Guaranteed genuine.

haha, well usually I don't even buy engine oil at Petrol stations but I guess I do pay for high price for engine oil since I only service my cars at the car service centres. The last time I had to buy engine oil was when my stupid old volvo suddenly the engine oil when down and was at shell and the guy asked me got bonus link, that's why I know can use bonus link at shell for engine oil. My new car comes with 3 years full free service including engine oil smile.gif

so andrekua, what card you use for petrol?
your bike shop can use credit card?
*
Nope, cash term only.
It's so obviously cheaper than gas stations, don't bother can swipe credit card or not already lor~

LOL... I dont believe it too. Until recently whereby my customer was applying it to his father in-law car and test it for me to see. My intention was not about not having to wipe or having the water flew away by the force of the wind. Its just that, my vios has very poor visibility on drivers and passenger side window as well as side mirrors. After applying it, now no problem to see in the rain. The dispersing water make it less likely to fog.
*
I have been using Rain-X since 2002.
IIRC, the price was about RM19.90 for twin pack. I sapu 5 twin packs back home tongue.gif

So cheap?
Then I tio slaughtered buying those single pack for RM19 (1st bottle) and two more bottles for RM22 each. All using Smiles points. Those bottles also looks different from the one that Gen-X showed.
*
Oh God, now come out Spray type Rain-X already sweat.gif
Mine is still bottle type, need to pour out one.
The twin pack RM19.90 is very hard to come by, you just need to shop around hypermarkets very often to discover them.

next time you go Petronas, I suggest you ask if can also use Mesra card together with your MBB Pet, if can why not get it and earn some points too.
*
IINM the answer is YES.
Because I recalled a content of MBB Petronas card talking about "Earn extra Mesra point everytime you use MBB petronas card at Petronas stations".

However, things may have changed.

1 litre = 1 mesra point
*
1L = 1 Mesra point is very stingy laugh.gif
Best petrol loyalty card now is SMILES card thumbup.gif

I redeemed 2000 Smiles points for RM30 petrol. I noticed that the RM30 I redeemed was entitled for another 30 Smiles points based on the receipt. Isn't Esso/Mobil generous. smile.gif

I received a SMS from 66600 saying that X amount has been redeemed at X Petronas station DATE: TIME.

Not bad! thumbup.gif
*
yes, not bad.
Even though cannot prevent card from being stolen (I always think it is our responsibility to safeguard our cards), but still works as a reminder. Just like online banking's sms notification whenever receiving fund etc.

Esso/Mobil has updated 1 month ago 950points = RM10.00 petrol
*
finally there is a redemption with lower point requirement.
Unlike the 3000 pts = RM45 fuel. It's just too difficult for me to accumulate 3000 pts.

so what, the points are evergreen, better than to redeem it with 1000 points
*
however, the points "cash value" depreciates over time.
For example, "1000 pts = RM15 fuel " becomes "950 pts = RM10 fuel".

Not for 3000 point lah. My point was better to wait up to 9 months in snigapoe case and get 1.5% back instead of about 1%.
*
I'm afraid ExxonMobil will revise the "3000pts=RM45 fuel" item very soon.
Now, 950 pts = RM10.
Perhaps, 3000 pts can only redeem RM35 fuel in near future.

Hopefully no problem.
Esso/Mobil already start to lose some customers since the recent revision of SmilesPoint Redemption program. Don't do any further self-killing action.

Hi guys, is there any petrol station that allows you to input amount to pump and stops automatically?

I use Caltex and the process is manual (insert card > wait for verifcation > remove card > lift nozzle and pump > put back and receive receipt). Usually exceed the amount I required by few cents. Or am I doing it wrong?
*
yesterday I refilled petrol at Caltex Seremban. The attendant managed to pre-set the amount at RM50 because the pump stopped at RM50 exactly.

Did the attendant use your CC or his own card?

I tried pressing the keypads after it prompts to remove card, but it still shows lift nozzles to pump.
*
of course it's my cc. smile.gif

He pressed 5,0,0,0 on the numpad right after my credit card was approved for refilling, that's all.

Amex is accepted at most petrol stations (except Petronas) and hypermarkets (Giant/Tesco/Carrefour) and Jusco.
You may also subscribe your phone / utilities bills to EXPRESS AUTOPAY and enjoy 5x treats points.

ok... >.<
i believe it says payment card first.... ~_~
and normally the "rewards cards first" only applies to bonuslink... But i shall give it a try if that's the case sad.gif
*
after inserting smiles card, the screen will still prompt for your payment card. And when you insert credit card and get the approval, the system won't ask for your Smiles card anymore. Most importantly, Smiles Points are awarded.
trust me, I have done this.
