Did the attendant use your CC or his own card?

I tried pressing the keypads after it prompts to remove card, but it still shows lift nozzles to pump.

of course it's my cc.

Then did you see how it's done? XD

He pressed 5,0,0,0 on the numpad right after my credit card was approved for refilling, that's all.

Fairly simple actually,
E.g. On Caltex pumps, the CC terminal on the left, then there's another keypad, screen or no screen on the right, most pumps have it, but not all.

If its the keypad with screen, key in yr preferred amount with that keypad, and you can see it shown on that screen itself,
the CC terminal screen it still shows lift nozzles to pump. You just lift nozzle to pump once u're satisfied with what you entered.

If its just the keypad, without the screen, then the amount you key-in will be the pump screen in the middle (the one with the running amount when u pump), but it'll be flashing, and the CC terminal still shows lift nozzles to pump. You just lift nozzle to pump once u're satisfied with what you entered.

You can even key-in the amount when it's only verifying yr CC, you don't need to wait it to ask you to remove yr card.

I don't recall there is a keypad on the right side, at least I have never noticed one with a screen. But sure, I will keep a look out the next time I pump

me myself, i prefer not exact amount, easy to track the record.

besides, like esso/mobile smiles card, if u stop at >0.05, will get points rounded up to 0.1

example stop at 90.36 then will get 90.40 points

Perhaps they can claim from company up to a certain amount only? Same like me.

Need advice here on getting Petrol Cash back cards.

1. I spend ~RM250 on petrol each month (Petronas)
2. I spend ~RM250 on toll fees each month
3. I spend RM0(nil) on groceries/movies/dining each month.

So my rebates will be mainly on petrol alone.
So Mesra Card is a must. How about CC? (My earning per month including allowance is more than 3k). Thanks.

anangryorc, for petrol I would say get a card that gives you 5% cash rebate, I guess UOB One Card for your case.

Therefore cash back you get RM12.5/month = RM150/year Less GST, you make RM100. Go read UOB One Card Thread, new members get RM88 cash back after few months. So ask about it when signing up.

As for TnG, if you reload at Plus counter, you get 0.3% cash back with One Card, RM250 you earn RM0.75/month or RM9 per year. Go to this thread to get more info and ask the experts there on how to benefit with UOB One Card.

I would suggest ocbc titanium card. My fave.
5% on petrol, groceries, bills and dining. 1% on everything else. No points though. Capped at rm50. Go to the thread for more info.

Btw, ur toll is a bit high. Do use tngo and register it. U get some discount, forget how much if u swipe 80 times a month solely on tolls.

yes since petronas, go for ocbc titanium.

and for toll, get tng and reload it @ tng hub (e.g kl sentral) with ur ocbc and u get back 1%.

I have the similar situation, just that I do it on Shell. Is OCBC titanium card recommended for this?

MOST Essos (NKVE / Kesas / Elite / Jejantas's ) Don't accept AMEX Indoors, Heck even a Hell in Esso @ Klang Westport ( Riiiggghtttt in Esso) also don't accept AMEX @ Counter... >.<

So mostly are required to swipe @ the terminal Instead of the counter

What i hate is these few months, After Pre-set @ Pump, and after C.C Approval, then when i insert Smiles, Tarik Balik, then Say " See Cashier To use Card"

Happenedd Quite a lot of times, and the problem is it Also "Makan" partially of my CL If i didn't even Set a Limit (ard RM200, DDepending on stations)

Imagine 3 times Fail on the Smiles Card Authentication, what will happen...

They Should have Do it like the Petronas, where pluggin the Mesra card, if cannot Verify, Try again, Not.... Like Reject your Whole ordder...+_+"

Amex is accepted at most petrol stations (except Petronas) and hypermarkets (Giant/Tesco/Carrefour) and Jusco.
You may also subscribe your phone / utilities bills to EXPRESS AUTOPAY and enjoy 5x treats points.

That was rare case.
Most are OK.
