too bad... For me i only pump ron95 on my car,and can use ron95 to claim with office, if use ron97 will be rejected...

For me with around rm500 per month fuel costs, its much better to get a card that will save $$ on fuel then others. Not to mention toll... With great fuel comes great toll fees...

Now they make it so expensive.. to change a Rm15- 1k points, you will need a total of 3k points.

Based on what i've see, why they changed the points is because... motorcyclist Pumps around RM20 per week, RM80 Per month, and only can get around 1k point per year. So If 1k = RM15, they will be happy, and it will be a LOT of redemption going on for motorists.

But if set to 3k - RM45, motorcyclist will take UP to 3 years, and EVEN if they Achieve the 3k, it is IMPOSSIBLE to feed the motorcycle With RM45.. Except SuperBike... But if SuperBike, it doesn't apply on my Theory, more towards those with kawasaki / Kap-Chai's

It also Indirectly Affects the low petrol consumption owners on point's savings (those who uses less then RM60 per week, RM240 per month, and RM2880 per year.. With approximate calculation, They also can't Hit 3k Points in a Month, and EVEN if they do..To Pump RM45 Per month Would be harsh for them


what i scare is later 5000 = RM75, and that will be HARSH for those who everytime pumps lesser then RM60... or small cars like kancil and Kelisa would be Forced to claim EITHER the lower points, or Take on Ron97 to fully utilize the RM75... >.<

Nevertheless, i believe @ this point of time, If the Smarts 1% cashback + 5% petrol cashback from UOB One Card is still valid, + BHP 0.9% Cashback = 6.9% Cash Rebate. This would be good for those who pump More on Weekday's basis. (Compared to 5% uob + 1.5% Esso Points, But Lower then AMEX 2.5% point + 5% cash rebate + 1.5% esso points)

Just that caps are on RM60 for UOB card... >.<

keep your OCBC for other thing's else if you are not utilizing it for fuel

MOST Essos (NKVE / Kesas / Elite / Jejantas's ) Don't accept AMEX Indoors, Heck even a Hell in Esso @ Klang Westport ( Riiiggghtttt in Esso) also don't accept AMEX @ Counter... >.<

So mostly are required to swipe @ the terminal Instead of the counter

What i hate is these few months, After Pre-set @ Pump, and after C.C Approval, then when i insert Smiles, Tarik Balik, then Say " See Cashier To use Card"

Happenedd Quite a lot of times, and the problem is it Also "Makan" partially of my CL If i didn't even Set a Limit (ard RM200, DDepending on stations)

Imagine 3 times Fail on the Smiles Card Authentication, what will happen...

The PROBLEM is not because of AMEX not accepting @ Pump, and yea it's My SMILES problem

The problem is AMEX aren't really accepted on Counter, Replying to erry-'s message of asking us to swipe inside, where 8 out of 10 station's don't accept AMEX Swipes INSIDE the Counter

+ I Never say it's AMEX problem, i have Said that it's the Smiles that makes my Pumping "sales Canceled", despite it has been approved, so yea, it's Smiles Card pRoblem...

What i am saying is where if you wanna pay using AMEX THROUGH COUNTER, MOSTLY not accepted... only through Pump.

So if Unfortunately you meet with a faulty C.C. Terminal @ pump, Don't bother trying to swipe your AMEX inside the counter, change other pumps.

i reicieved a SMS from Smiles (Esso) that there's Double Points Discounts or something, but didn't really see it when pumping fuel this afternoon

any iddeas on the T&C or something, @ esso smiles website also nothing mentioned...

for me, all fuels feels the same except and except if i pump in ron97, else all tastes the same, so might as well get the best in value then What i see and Pump
