amex not a porpular card in malaysia coz of the charges they charge to the retail is high....but me using citibank shell card...ok la coz got up to 5% rebate on shell and 1.5% on other purchases...think now alos they got promo for all new card..check out yourself

for shell to get the 5% u must have carry fwd ur previous transaction, if not its 2.5% but recently they change their rebate structure system,
unless u talkin about the Citi cashback platinum which then u'll get 5% rebates.

lol. It's a good lesson for those who wants to apply for citibank Shell credit card, read carefully. I hate the word "UP TO ... % rebate " It turns me off every time i see it

I have some remark for Melaka Esso/Mobil,

Most of the Stations in Melaka town are not ready for Outside Card Machine, mean also cannot use Amex.

Mostly I use only 2 Stations, 1st is Near Melaka Mall & 2nd will be near Melaka Sental.

Others not discover yet.

What do you mean by Outside Card Machine? Self service kiosk?

yes, normally at towns, there are no self service kiosk

whatever changes made, its still a rubbish card. pb esso card, amex is much much better in terms of cash back unless they can offer more than 5% rebate with NO condition, not like last time where u have to pay for the interest in order to enjoy 5% rebate

i did mention on the new shell citi card rebates, nothin good out of it, its higher rebates up yo 8% but must spend beyond 2.5k per mth to get it and all other non shell transactions are not entitle to any rebates

PBB Now is offering again 8% for 4 months.. very fake la they all... Esso also..Really "Smart", where "WE ARE DRIVERS too, we know you wanna MORE rebates on top of our luxurious 1.5% Rebates >.<"

and get RM20 as well for new customers after spending of RM400

BUT, Luckily current owners can still enjoy 8% *Highest TIER*, where it will be quite good for high fuel spenders, capped at RM80 Per month...

i hav amex gold n usually pump at esso/mobil...good to know 5x MR points = 2.5% cash back in voucher...

I saw the banner promoting this 8% rebate by using PBB CC at almost every Esso station I have visited.

If you got AMEX Gold Credit Card, you are rewarded with Membership Reward Points. With MR points you no need to redeem for voucher as you can redeem for cash back i.e. 200MR points = RM1 cash back or that's equivalent to exactly 2.5% cash back with 5X MR for petrol. So with AMEX Gold CC, do not redeem for vouchers, instead redeem for cash back. This is because when you use voucher which you redeem, you wont get new points 2X or 5X with your AMEX if you were to use the AMEX Card to purchase the same thing you would with the voucher. Get what I mean?

The voucher equivalent of 2.5% is applicable to Maybankard 2 AMEX only. Seriously, if you have AMEX Gold CC, I sugesst you switch to Maybankard 2 Cards and use the Maybankard 2 AMEX to get 5X Treats Points and best of all, 5% cash back on weekends.
