Oh, I forgot, if you shop at 1U, can use Treat Points to redeem for RCUBED which can be used at selected merchants at 1U, well almost all merchants at 1U. Currently there's a promotion when you use RCUBED you will get RM10 1U shopping voucher for every RM100. For RCUBED 210 TP = RCUBED RM1. AThe promotion also applicable to AMEX Membership reward points.

Click below link to my blog and then click on the RCUBED links

If you got AMEX Gold Credit Card, you are rewarded with Membership Reward Points. With MR points you no need to redeem for voucher as you can redeem for cash back i.e. 200MR points = RM1 cash back or that's equivalent to exactly 2.5% cash back with 5X MR for petrol. So with AMEX Gold CC, do not redeem for vouchers, instead redeem for cash back. This is  because when you use voucher which you redeem, you wont get new points 2X or 5X with your AMEX if you were to use the AMEX Card to purchase the same thing you would with the voucher. Get what I mean?

The voucher equivalent of 2.5% is applicable to Maybankard 2 AMEX only. Seriously, if you have AMEX Gold CC, I sugesst you switch to Maybankard 2 Cards and use the Maybankard 2 AMEX to get 5X Treats Points and best of all, 5% cash back on weekends.

yah call CS, and yah clear outstanding balance immediately, else what is the point you convert? Better get separate MBB 2 card and make sure no outstanding so no interest imposed on new transactions.

Got a scare just now. I discovered my Available Limit has RM150 less than my actual expenditure. So I contacted OCBC to verify all my transactions and found no discrepancies. Later the SC informed me that it is a common practice for petrol stations to mark up the bill to RM200 first before claiming the actual amount. I pumped RM50 today, so the number tallys.

Phew! Just an info for the rest..i am damn noobie blush.gif

All banks have this practice. Practice is not new and has been in place for many many years.

DONT APPLY for this crap shell card. here why

quoted from bro ronnie
Basically you have to spend retail to get your higher rebate on your fuel purchases.
RM250 x 4% = RM10 rebate per month
RM500 x 6% = RM30 rebate per month
RM800 x 8% = RM64 rebate per month

Basically, you should get the card based on the petrol pumped per pump at Shell....
Only at RM800 per month would you get RM64, more than other cash-back CC (RM50 for OCBC Titanium/Maybankard2 AMEX)

To qualify for Tier 1, you need to spend RM50 per month + RM250 Shell fuel to get RM10 back... which is nett 3.33% Cash Back
To qualify for Tier 2, you need to spend RM500 per month + RM500 Shell fuel to get RM30 back... which is nett 3.00% Cash Back
To qualify for Tier 3, you need to spend RM1700 per month + RM800 Shell fuel to get RM64 back... which is nett 2.56% Cash Back

OCBC Titanium Mastercard/Maybankard2 AMEX beats the crap of these offers with it's solid 5% Cash Back

conclusion citibank shell card still sucks. The rebate keep decreasing if u spend more because there are no rebates for other spending except for Shell fuel. The actual rebate is certainly less than 4% and they use a lots of tricks in hiding it. Even add in bonuslink points which offer 0.5% cashback, AMEX, ocbc and pbb esso still totally pawn this.
