It doesn't matter if Chicharito not playing for us but he has done better than NB52. Remember, both of them are same age but Chicharito has improved much better & proved his worth. What abt NB52?You never liked Nick (or any of our current players). That doesn't take away the fact that Nick scored important goals for us and without him we're much worse. Yes, I hate NB52 cause his finishing sucks (Not world class/ Arsenal level kind of player). |

- Jens Lehmann has confirmed he's making a sensational comeback at Arsenal.
Lehmann has agreed to make a sensational return to Arsenal, answering Arsene Wenger's call to solve the club's goalkeeping crisis. The German, who will go straight into the squad for Saturday's Barclays Premier League game at West Bromwich, said: "It never crossed my mind that I might end up solving it (Arsenal's goalkeeping crisis). "But when they asked me, I was more than happy to oblige. It was just over the last few days that they contacted me to see if I could help out for the rest of the season and I agreed straight away." And Lehmann insists his soured relationship with Manuel Almunia will not be a problem, saying: "That was then, but this is different. I am ready for the challenge, but I know my main job will be helping out and providing cover. I have a lot of experience and I am happy to pass it on to Almunia or whoever else is in goal." taken from Arsenal Team and Transfer News – 15th March 2011 Facebook |

Not as sucky as your clouded judgment makes it to be.Yes, I hate NB52 cause his finishing sucks (Not world class/ Arsenal level kind of player). Look at the number of games and minutes played, and also the position they started. Hernandez's contributions is important for MU's title challenge this year especially since Rooney's not scoring as much as he did previously. But is Nick's goalscoring romp last year during our striker drought any less commendable? Probably only to you it is. I'm not going any further with this. None of our current players is good according to you. |

There's some very good opinion. Being a fan myself, i'll have to disagree on Bentdner. I've been having a close look on his each game for Arsenal this season. Improvement ? I don't think so.
Well, based on this season, he's been missing more chances than scoring them. Still, i don't see him fitting the 433 system as discussed by some of the forumers here. If you may StarGhazzer, may i know which skill or ability of Bentdner actually improved ? |

Swiss FA: "The shoulder injury to Johan Djourou is less serious than feared on Saturday and announced by Arsenal."
The Arsenal defender and member of the Switzerland national team was submitted to thorough medical examinations on Monday. At the end of a long exhausting day, Johan Djourou had new hope that his season is not over yet, has not suffered any fractures, while ligament damage is suggested "not to be in a serious condition". ops...already been post by little mozart This post has been edited by joe405: Mar 15 2011, 08:08 PM |

QUOTE(Yukieliow @ Mar 15 2011, 06:07 PM) I agree with this absolutely. Quote in your sig belongs to Abe Lincoln, not Penis.often you find fans praise wenger for it's ability to not spend big and title seem to be not necessary these days .. So Moyes will be a splendid choice as replacement in this sense since title is not a necessary to Arsenal. QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Mar 15 2011, 06:59 PM) Did you predict that today day will follow night and shockingly, night will follow day?QUOTE(Nemesis13 @ Mar 15 2011, 07:32 PM) There's some very good opinion. Being a fan myself, i'll have to disagree on Bentdner. I've been having a close look on his each game for Arsenal this season. Improvement ? I don't think so. Even the most prolific strikers miss more chances that score them, it's a given that shot conversion rates for strikers are gonna be <50%, unless he played a single match all season and scored with his single shot.Well, based on this season, he's been missing more chances than scoring them. Still, i don't see him fitting the 433 system as discussed by some of the forumers here. If you may StarGhazzer, may i know which skill or ability of Bentdner actually improved ? He fits in in the middle and despite a lot of fans hating it when he tries to execute some footwork, it isn't bad. In fact, he's got decent feet. His height gives him obvious advantage in the middle and as one of the wingers (which Chamakh is not as technically proficient as Bendtner in filling), he can cut inside to get at the end of a far-post cross. Plus, he provides cover for that position, which is thin when Walcott is out and Nasri needs to sometimes go in the middle. As for any improvements, maybe he's already at the limit of his potential, but while he remains a useful part of the squad, I would say keep the backups you have unless you have a very good replacement lined up and I believe we don't at present. |

QUOTE(little_mozart @ Mar 15 2011, 08:35 PM) ![]() jangan reply anjing itu Added on March 15, 2011, 7:53 pmDjourou injury `not as serious as feared' Arsenal defender Johan Djourou may yet be able to play again this season, according to the Swiss Football Association. The centre-half looked set to miss the rest of the campaign after dislocating his shoulder during Saturday's 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final defeat at Manchester United. However, those initial fears of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger look to have been eased after extensive tests, and the 24-year-old could be back in action by the end of the month. A statement from the Swiss FA on their website, www.football.ch, read: "The shoulder injury to Johan Djourou is less serious than feared on Saturday and announced by the coach of his club." QUOTE(Nemesis13 @ Mar 15 2011, 07:32 PM) There's some very good opinion. Being a fan myself, i'll have to disagree on Bentdner. I've been having a close look on his each game for Arsenal this season. Improvement ? I don't think so. This season hasn't been Nicky's best due to injuries, limited playing time, and playing in unsuitable positions eg right wing. In terms of improvement, he showed that he is capable of executing accurate finishes as shown in his goals vs Newcastle and Ipswich. Well, based on this season, he's been missing more chances than scoring them. Still, i don't see him fitting the 433 system as discussed by some of the forumers here. If you may StarGhazzer, may i know which skill or ability of Bentdner actually improved ? His scoring run last season during our striker crisis is a better representation of his abilities. The game vs Burnley where he missed pretty much everything is often used by critics against him, but I think that game showed how intelligent his movement was as he knew when to get into the box for Theo's cutbacks and crosses. Then he hit a bloody hattrick in the CL vs Porto in the following game. There's also the all-important late winners vs Hull and Wolves which were games we would have possibly dropped vital points. He may not have a role in our current 433, or rather 4231; and I wouldn't really say whether a more traditional 442 would suit him better since we've never played an orthodox 442 even during the invincible days. Whether Nick has reached his full potential or not is also hard to say. I personally think there's more to him than we are seeing at the moment; if he gets a full 30-game season but still only gather a single-digit goal count then maybe he's not up to it. Scoring around 10 goals per season with a few assists here and there as a third choice striker isn't the worst return to be honest, and unless we've got better options we're actually better off with Nick than without him. His perceived arrogance irks many especially when he has yet to show that he's up there with the very best strikers. Yet for all the written interviews which seem arrogant and overconfident, if you watch his video interviews he's actually very humble and often focus on his teammates' contributions rather than his own performance. All great players have egos, and I would be more worried if Nick has no faith in his own abilities. If Adebayor can score 30 per season with the help of a full-strength midfield, there's no reason why Nick cannot. What he needs to do now is shut up, be patient, pray for better luck as to no injuries to himself, to Theo, and to our midfield who supplies the ammo. I'm sounding like Bendtner's Advocate now - all I'm saying is he's not the saviour, we're not supposed to treat him like one. But he doesn't deserve the shit he often gets from our very own Arsenal fans. |
