Lose already can't blame anyone but Arsenal themselves.

Blame them for qualifying on 2nd position not on 1st.
Blame them for being unlucky to draw the best team in the world.
Blame them for playing too many games in a row.

Disappointed just like any Arsenal fans, proud also should be the word. How many clubs in this world actually ever played open football with them with a decent result?

"Even at 3-1 we only needed one goal and you can't understand how there can be players that were walking," said Almunia, who is Arsenal's only fit senior goalkeeper because Lukasz Fabianski is out for the season following shoulder surgery. "With a bit more effort we could have caused them damage at the end.

"Barcelona bossed us and in the second half we had players that were not running. It seemed that everything was lost but you can score a goal at any moment.

"So the only explanation I have is that we were so tired and the players couldn't give any more. And being down to ten men, well, it was double the effort."

Spot on Almunia. After the 3rd goal from Barca only nasri and wilshere can see them running.

For once as an Arsenal fans, i am starting to doubt Wenger ability as a manager. His starting line up, players sub in decision all are really really poor. I know we will have a lot of problem from ManU counter play just by looking at the line up.

This team is over dependant on some players on the field already. Really speechless 90 mins of my life. With this kind of play Arsenal don't deserved to win anything at all.

The defense really got wreck a part today. There is not a single good defender today but only some luck and Almunia to save us from conceding far far more.

The midfield is a disaster. Is almost like 4-1-3 formation with Wilshere doing everything and anything.

U can see Nasri really angry towards the end? I can say he is only so frustrated with the team.

No return already for Arsenal. 3 weeks time lose 3 trophy, lose half the team.

Perhaps Arsenal already lose everything the moment Vermaelan/Fabianski got injured but it takes time only before we realise it.

Don't blame the ref, luck bla bla bla but all to blame is Arsenal.

Chamakh free header, fail.
Rosicky free goal scoring opportunity fail.
RvP free kick didn't even reach half the wall.
Nasri with all his trickery and stuff usually to pass to either Walcott or Fabregas but totally none today.
Wilshere doing Song,Fabregas,Diaby,Denilson job at the same time.
Arshavin totally lost in the game even though he did well in 1st half.
Gibbs doh.gif

What matter to me now is to find the perfect captain. The team leadership is like a passing game atm. No one really dares to step up and claim it.

Vermaelen nowhere near return
Thomas Vermaelen's injury hell shows no sign of coming to an end with the player revealing he has no idea when he will be able to play again.

Vermaelen, 25, has not featured for Arsenal since the end of August and has made just three Premier League appearances this term. It has been a huge blow to Arsenal's hopes of winning silverware with Vermaelen their most dominant and consistent centre back.

An Achilles injury was diagnosed in September, after his return from Euro 2012 qualifying duty with Belgium. It has been reported that the issue is not the Achilles tendon itself but another tendon in the area which not all people have and is said to serve no purpose.

It was thought Vermaelen would miss only six weeks after having surgery on the problem, but he has not even been close to playing again.

He recently spent a week of intensive rehabilitation treatment in the Netherlands but it appears unlikely that Vermaelen will be available for selection again this season.

And in an interview with Belgium newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, Vermaelen revealed that he has already suffered six relapses during his recovery.

"I feel no trouble in the Achilles tendon itself, but the muscles around it still need to be made stronger," he said. "I do not know when I will be back.

"At first they said I would need four or six weeks after the operation. But it soon became apparent that it would last longer. I'm not even in training. I'm still working on my exercises to come back. This is a tough mental test.

"I relapsed six times. That was hard. Every time I had a goal to come back, but that was then broken again and again.

"I am now cautious. It is frustrating that I cannot play. I had never been injured for so long. On some days it's mentally very tough but I see this as a test. Perhaps it is also good for my career and it will make me stronger mentally."

Arsenal are also likely to be without Swiss international Johan Djourou for the rest of the campaign after he suffered a shoulder injury against Manchester United on Saturday, leaving manager Arsene Wenger short on options in central defence.

A season without him makes me sad doh.gif

I hope Lehmann can inspire this team to the EPL title even though he should be spending his time on training and bench only.

Really need him to motivate or guide this team to success.

Don't forget our keeper almunia HAS not played for a national team until now..
No caps at all..

Even there's a hate page on him...

I guess he should have moved on to protect his reputation as a professional football player..

He is a spanish, i myself can think of 3 keepers of Spanish much better than him.

Arshavin lifted the team again with his 1st goal. 1 point in this part of the season really not enough rclxub.gif

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Mar 20 2011, 02:46 PM)
In the beginning of every season there is always the illusion of the team progressing, but once it reaches the stage where it matters most it's been the same story for the last 5 years. This year both MU and Chelsea were shit and yet here we are behind MU. If we were any good we would be running away with it now.

Also I doubt any of you would be comfortable if Fabianksi was available to deputize for Wojciech right now.

Seriously u forgot about our early season already?

I rather have Fabianski now compare to Sczseny or Almunia or Lehmann.

God knows what happen to him early of the season where he transform from flapianski to Buffon

Why? Because of that one mistake against Birmingham?
*
QUOTE(nivlanauk @ Mar 20 2011, 03:47 PM)
because Fabianski has been good this season until he got injured.
*
Your answer. He was rock solid, no more in-decision stuff or stupid mistakes unlike Almunia shakehead.gif . Sczseny is still young and our future keeper who only really played this season which makes sense.

Looks like only next season we can get to see Fabianski + Vermaelan again rclxub.gif

Vermaelen - I must complete a 'pre-season'

Thomas Vermaelen admits he must get a 'pre-season' under his belt before he can be considered for a first-team return.

The Belgian centre back has not played since he suffered an Achilles injury while on international duty last September. Vermaelen eventually recovered from that but is still on the road to recovery after having surgery on separate tendon problem in January.

Arsène Wenger would love to call on the 25-year-old for the Premier League run-in – especially since Johan Djourou dislocated his shoulder - but the manager called time on Vermaelen's season last week and the defender understands why.

"The chances that I will play another game this season are small," he told Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws. "I can understand my manager when he says that my season is over: I have been out for seven months and I must fulfil a complete 'pre-season', so it's logical that he won’t take risks.

"Time is ticking away and the season finishes in two months. I must first get fit again, then gain rhythm. So I’ve still a long way to go. I can kick a ball as hard as possible, but that's not my problem. I need to run without pain."

Vermaelen is not the first Arsenal player to endure a long spell on the sidelines and he won't be the last. But few have been laid low for so long after being told his injury was relatively minor.

When Vermaelen returned from international duty last September he was tipped for a first-team return within days. When he underwent surgery in January he was expected back after six weeks. But, seven months after the initial problem, the centre back is still waiting.

"After surgery, you soon become impatient," he admitted. "I'm a player they have to slow down - that's my problem. I felt a little pain, but I had something in my head: I’ll cope with it. That’s wasn’t too smart: you can’t beat nature. After a few weeks I personally indicated that I had to slow down. It didn’t feel that comfortable, as it feels these days.

"I always thought I would be out for six weeks [after the surgery]. That was what I was told. So I never could anticipate this long absence. Maybe I would have preferred that I knew from the start."

It has been an unexpectedly long wait for Vermaelen but it is almost over. And the Belgian credits his team-mates for helping him stay positive throughout a frustrating second season with the Club.

"I wanted to stay in the dressing room [during my rehabilitation] to be with my team-mates," he explained. "I had so much support from my friend Robin van Persie for example. Robin is a very helpful guy. He has experience with long injuries and often gave me good advice."

Lol they use to fight last time sweat.gif but now like gay buddy already unsure.gif

Miss Vermaelen so much. Now have to look at Squillaci and Koscielny play really heart attack doh.gif

Ramsey was very sloppy in the game but his team were far worst than him except Bellamy. The whole game only Bellamy and Ramsey give some threat for Wales.

Wilshere was so-so today, mayb pitch problem. Super dry and holes here and there.
