Monster Cable, engages only 1 distributor per country. For each of Monster headphones, it comes with a Hwee Seng (E) Sdn Bhd warranty card in blue color (at the moment). Therefore, with every purchase, each warranty card has to be filled and send back to the distributor, and the other portion, is to be retained and kept for warranty purposes. The current Malaysia distributor, does not repair any spoilt headphones, and if it is within the warranty period, users will be allowed to exchange provided there's proof of purchase with the warranty card.

As for INTERNATIONAL purchases, I'm sorry to inform you that there will not be any exchange allow in Malaysia. You have to contact the retailers you had purchased from, and arrange your own couriers to send them back. One of the reason, you may ask, is because, Hwee Seng (E) Sdn Bhd is the distributor and representative of Monster Cable and not a Monster Cable company. If international-purchased headphones are allow to be exchanged on warranty claims, it will defeat the purpose of having local resellers. After all, we know that taxes in other countries are cheaper and we will be encouraging others to buy from outer countries.

Price of every Monster headphones are FIXED/NETT. If others are stating to be selling brand new Monster headphones, be extra careful. Take some precaution such as asking question from where, receipts of purchase if from other countries' retail stores, what's the warranty coverage and etc. The prices I put up above are the official RCP in every authorized reseller in Malaysia. If it happens to be discount in Monster headphones, you will find it all happens to all authorized outlets in Malaysia.

Because of the popularity of Monster headphones, there are some people out there who's looking for quick bucks and bringing in fake/counterfeits Monster headphones at low price. These issues are not only happening in Malaysia, but also countries around the world and this problem will never end as long as there's demand from users who easily get distracted with the mindset of "Wow-it's-cheaper-here-than-those-outlets". Don't let those counterfeiters gaining advantage of your hard-earn $$. If you want something so badly, buy original. If you can't afford it for the time being, save-up and earn it.

If you have any questions, I'll be here to answer these questions as much as I possibly can. Hope I'm not offending anyone on what I'm posting now. Please do not shoot me with technical questions such as how big is the speaker driver, the impedance, how many magnet coil, wat the rubber-band material made of??<<<< What THE... as I'm not a technical person or an engineer.

Do they come with a QC sticker?And I wouldn't agree with your comment on the previous thread about that you will replace broken headphones done by the customer.The warranty doesn't cover damage done by the user.

Mmmm...QC sticker? Should be, maybe, din notice at all..How should I answer that? When I ALREADY stated that each Monster headphone comes with Hwee Seng (E) Sdn Bhd warranty card (The SOLE/The One & ONLY Malaysia Distributor)? Frankly speaking, I'm lost for words..

Calm down a bit.There should be a QC sticker no matter whether there is a warranty card or invoice etc.It's being put by the manufacturer itself.

It's cool.It's good to hear that there is a QC sticker,this means that they are from the newest lot(batch),on older batches they don't have it.They began sticking those stickers from late 2010.Oh and how many years of warranty does Monster Malaysia give?

Every now and then, Monster making new improved version of their Studio/Solo/Solo HD.. as to what I had noticed:

Newer version of Studio comes with L-shaped 3.5mm jack connector and it's slightly more lighter than the older batch. The part on each left/right where the 4 screws are, are no longer as tight and hard to fold like the older batch.

New Solo HD on the white version, comes with a sticker written something like "Stronger Band Hold"

New Solo version, has stronger head-band where it can withstand abuse such as drop and extra stretch. This probably because there were toooo many complains on the poor design head-band where it used to break easily (that's where one of the part where the warranty comes into play).. 4 every beats sold in msia, d usa moves abt 50 - 100 uts. so d discount factor is @ least 30% lwr than msia 4 d dealers.

i spotted a shop down here at Kota Kinabalu selling Beats Studio at 2 different prices

1. Hwee Seng Warranty - 1799
2. Hong Kong Direct Warranty (from don't know who) - 1299

The HK Warranty de is done by letting that shop do the warranty for you, while the HS warranty is self- service, funny how there are 2 pricing for the same item

and oh yaa, i see quite a lot of shops around my place here sell HK distribution warranty items, like the Red Sox version, the Yao versions etc etc, ask them warranty = HK distro warranty

Hwee Seng warranty Beats Studio is RM1699.00.

It comes with Hwee Seng warranty card. Without that warranty card, it's not from Hwee Seng.

Hihi, I just bought a solo hd from harvey norman. It included 2 warranty card from hwee seng. 1 of the warranty card written "unless return within 14 days, this warranty is deemed void". So should I get back the warranty card to harvey norman for this? Or as long as I have the receipt from them will b ok? the othe warranty card written "any alteration will render this warranty invalid" thx!

I think you got it wrong. Hwee Seng only provides 1 year warranty on Solo HD (correct me if I'm wrong). So, my advise is, fill up the warranty card portion to be posted back to Hwee Seng + copy of your invoice receipt, and then, everything ok from there.

Fill up the portion where the address of Hwee Seng is printed, send it back together with the attached of your HN Invoice. You can drop by to my office from Mon-Fri (8.30am - 5.30pm). Anything wrong with your headphone within the warranty period, bring along the other portion of your warranty card for an exchange. Before you come, do call 03-7875 4840 to check if there's stock for exchange or not, to avoid any disappointment.

One can buy an original from a reputable store just for the receipt and start selling fakes by just "showing" the receipt as prove.

Went to pavilion Epic Centre today...nope...they only demo Solo HD RED only, Harvey Norman Only Sell Monster Cable..Cables..And selling pioneer Headphones too...(hard to find Electronic shops selling this product)

Btw..The Red Solo Hd creating the sandy sound again...it is because when i started to watch movie using it..now in progress to send it back for warranty...again..haiz..

browsing through the audio related acc topic just now. realised that there are many ppl selling beats from powertech. which are cheaper by few hundreds. any idea whether those are genuine?

This is a questionable matter where almost every buyer turn out to be an "expert" in examining Monster Beats product. Even I myself don't dare to proclaim I'm an expert. In early posting, I had stated that I am currently able to roughly identify several ways of spotting fake Pros and Solo HD, directly given by Monster Cable personnel (yeah, my company is the ONLY.. ONLYYYYY authorized DISTRIBUTOR of Monster Cable products in Malaysia and Singapore/ except Monster Energy Drinks).

However, due to agreement, I am not able to show the slides to the public. One of the main factor is, Counterfeits manufacturers are improving from time to time. End-users are getting quite aware of spots to look out: such as identifying the "tm" words, Dr.Dre neck area, and etc, and these "spots" are already matter of the past. Just from box/packaging, it will be hard to know whether it's genuine or fake, except for the too-hard-to-believe-price (which customers willing to pay for and go home only to know it's fake). If I am to show out to the public, what are the key areas to look out for fake Beats headphones, there's high risk of counterfeiters to overcome their weakness and improves their products as well.

Today, I dropped by Low Yat Plaza and on the 2nd floor, wow, almost every corner I turned my head, there were Studios, Tours, Solo HD and everything. A quick look I took and it's almost flawless and the packaging looked towards perfection. Now I have myself to believe the "GREATNESS" in Pirated industries.

If you guys think the methods of other forumers selling are quite suspicious (ONCE AGAINN:except DigitalTech-Sole LYN Reseller at time being), STOP instantly and DON"T PUT YOUR MONEY THERE.

Think logically. Studio = USD $300/$349 * 3 = RM 900/RM1000+ ..how is it possible to escape tax? Kopi-O??? Free logistic cos Boeing 737 or Titanic belongs to forumer's relative?

2nd logic: If anything happen to the head-set (within warranty period), which accidentally be your fault, you just sit down there and cry? OR you arrange your own mode of courier to US (if its genuine), and bear at own expenses which you might be taxed when US side ship it back to you.... in which, in the end, the price add up more or less, very close to M'sia SRP. (this is the part where I don't understand why soooo many end-users not able to see beyond this point)

So, it will still boils back to yourself.. do you want to risk your hard-earn $$? Cheers

- original 2 x screws on each side are ALLEN-KEY type, not Philips-Key Type
- metal on foldable side will not have friction (gesaran) with the red plastic.
If you confuse on which 1 i'm referring to, fold your Solo HD, look at (SOLO HD) Special Edition wording, you will see the grey rubber, the red plastic in between, and then the metal.
- Also at same place, some Fakes have left-over glue stain, poor finishing
- the "b" logo should be almost the same color as the body of Red

I think that's a few obvious things to identify.. .. not written in the most commonly used "avs"-link website..

i just bought a solo from a seller who got that from HP i need to send back warranty to hwee seng? but already over 14 days how ?

If you talking about the warranty card, photocopy the receipt from the authorized HP outlet and enclose together with Hwee Seng warranty card. Solo carries only 1 year warranty.

For warranty claim (within a year), you need to have receipt as proof of purchase. Best if you/he can refer to HP Malaysia first, cos as far as I'm concern, normally customers go back to HP. On the worst case scenario, you may come to my office.
