What kind of helpdesk? Is it IT?

If IT helpdesk then see which level of support. Level 1, 2 or 3.

For level 1 I'm thinking 3k to 4k, level 2 4k to 5k, and level 3 5k and above.

Usually they'll give you basic engineer salary + team lead allowance which variable. If shift, weekends, and public holidays work involved then you'll get extra allowance.

News, facebook & everywhere kept saying Malaysian especially fresh graduates are underpaid & salary level never go up since the late 90's. But I see this is not the case in this thread.

Tanjung Malim under Selangor or Perak?    No need argue over this small things la. We know already that its Malaysian made car manufacturer.

be prepared to work like no day and no night, handle the sheer amount of stress (for senior/manager level), experience a kinda unique office politics

btw, if you work in a bank branch, chances are you will most likely stuck in the branch for long time, meaning less chance to get in the main bank building like menara Maybank. In a bank branch, the most senior person would be the branch manager, basic salary is less than RM10k, or around that figure, is that considered alot?

I totally agree with you. About the currency difference, it started when someone start an argument with me. Leave it. I am here just to know any possibilities to get highly paid early. I agree working in Malaysia most probably won't get me paid 5 digits. But somehow by working at oversea I am hoping for minimum MYR10000 (here comes the currency difference) if possible. Although it seems to be hard, it isn't impossible i think. Just hoping for the best. No offense.
