What kind of helpdesk? Is it IT?
If IT helpdesk then see which level of support. Level 1, 2 or 3. For level 1 I'm thinking 3k to 4k, level 2 4k to 5k, and level 3 5k and above. Usually they'll give you basic engineer salary + team lead allowance which variable. If shift, weekends, and public holidays work involved then you'll get extra allowance. |

Permanent or contract these days doesn't matter. You don't need all those benefits also. For me I rather take cash then getting benefits.
I've been contractor for most of my working life. Only thing is taking loan with bank a little hard. But you can always ask your agency/ employee to write you a letter for loan application. |
