Title :Project Engineer
Age : 24
Job Description : Prepare quotation, liaise with client, hands on equip. work like a technician, be a driver for equipment to site, do whatever my boss ask me
Qualification: Degree in Mechanical
Years spent in company : 3.5 months
Industry : Oil & Gas, plant maintenance
Company: Singapore HQ, working KL branch
Tenure : Permanent
Experience before joining : 3 months as design engineer (previous MNC company paid RM2.6k)
Salary : RM1.8k basic + 320 car allowance + Petrol claim based on receipt (20% of it bear by employee) + toll claim
Medical benefit: Dental RM60 + Medical RM450
Working Hours: Office 8.30am~6pm, On-site (depend, even 24hr)
Perks: AL 8days, OT x1.5 after working hr, OT x2 after 12am (OT calculation taken from basic RM1500)
Location : All over Malaysia

My car work as a pickup, deliver machine to site. Boss request all engineers to learn hands on so that he can save up $$ hiring technician. I am the engineer in office & technician on site. Working in such dangerous environment & get peanut pay

oh, I worked as design engineer previously..

Job Description : IT help-desk, server maintenance, in house web application development, vendor application testing, workstation procurement and all ad hoc stuff related to IT
Qualification: Degree in Computer Science (from MY college)
Years spent in company : 3yr+
Industry : SG local EPC
Company: SG
Tenure : Permanent
Experience before joining : 1yr with MYR1.4k as programmer in small company in MY
Salary : ~SGD2k
Benefit: Dental SGD60, Medical SGD20, Company transport to MRT stations
Working Hours: Office Mon-Thur 8am-6pm, Fri 8am-5pm
Perks: OT x1.5 after working hr (but almost no chance to have them)

Really feel underpaid here, but dunno where to head on next right now...

Have you tried applying to other companies in SG or MSIA ?
Might help you explore other opportunities, since you have some experience in your field.

I commute daily to singapore in this company, my previous company was in malaysia

I believe u do a lot of travelling since it's sales so ur 500 allowance for ur car is kinda low.....
do u get any commission for your sales?
2.8k is reasonable i guess, provided u have commission for ur sales...

quite decent pay wo since u stay in Malaysia...

yes, got commission, range from 0.25-2%, provided account able to collect debt in 90days

My first job is less than 1k, your salary seems to be picking up. The next jump should be in thousands.
