Tungsten lighting- use blue to neutralize it on AWB, or use orange and set yr cam to tungsten. Usually dont need blue

Newbieeeeee, eddybeh: Blue gels are usually put on tungsten light bulbs, to make them daylight-colored.

Flashes are daylight colored, so you'd usually not have to use blue gels except for matching sunsets, when the sky is really blue that 9900K will make everything look like daylight again.

ahpingko: Best to bring your camera to TT to see if it is the body or flash issue (compared to other body/flashes.)

ieR: Oh and I'm coming for all days, in between seminars. biggrin.gif

is something wrong with my 50f1.8? cry.gif

Usually when you switch off the body, the lens auto focus will go back to infinity. All my lenses like that except for my 50f1.8 sad.gif sometimes it'll go to infinity, sometimes it stops at 2m, sometimes 5m. Why ahh? hmm.gif

Also the other day i help friend took pics for a futsal tournament, borrowed a Samyang 8mm FE lens and pair with the F20 flash. most of the time the flash burst full power (i think!) , most shots come out overexpose flash. So, im assuming manual lenses or those without 'D' cant do proper TTL, is it?? hmm.gif

I've made a few more flash gels for the F58, in the flavor of full Color Temperature Orange. See you all there!

mastering89: Nice changeable bokeh idea!

TTL works fine with manual lenses - I've been using TTL on my F58 with my Peleng fine on both the A900 and A55. I just tried the F20 with Peleng on A900 and A55 and neither give gross overexposure when set to fire direct at F5.6.

mastering89: I can make, but the design has not progressed from the original which was quite crap lah since I'd have to fold a double-sided tape and detach it each time. I can cut you a piece though and see if you can figure a way to get it to hold in place? The original F56 was also a tough one to lock on.
