ps: Tassie is kinda laid back but stunningly beautiful. biggrin.gif

that depends, are you bringing out, at least once a week, or once every 3 days, or just letting it lie on your table for one month?

Hmm i got my flash pretty fast after entering the world of dslr. My parents summore tell me, haiyaa. Flash? No need lah! No use also. My compact no need flash. Its uselss on my compact.
But i didn't care abt them. I bought my first metz flash, and i find it seriously useful. There are some times where you MUST have flash. Lets say simple, wedding dinner. Everyone is moving. So you cant afford a 1 sec shutter. even if you have a tripod. The flash will make the ss about lets say 1/160. Which can get you many more 'less handshake' pictures. i dont know, but thats what i think. Some might disagree with me and say that flash is not that important or what.
*
lol i've give up on explaining to my new found course mates on why a flash is important.........(all using compacts with no manual control)

oh man SLT forced users to be a tester and lost their money..
why actually lens need to modify where the prob more likely on the body itself?

can't sony do something about it? what if A77 is SLT and having the same prob?
*
Who is losing money la? doh.gif sigma has offered to change the lens chip FOR FREE if your lens don't work well.

And for some rare Minolta lenses which doesn't work well, those lenses are already more than 20 years old and I certainly won't blame it on the body for being too advanced.

So guys, try not to genaralise and speculate small issues.

losing money coz buying the body lor.. for unpaid tester..
i rather buy better body where no hassle using what ever lenses..  doh.gif
*
Look, nobodyis forcing you to buy the a55/a33.

And what problems did youface when using the body? The latest sigma lens has all been updated to be compatible with the dslt.

So, what issue do you have actually?

i don't have it.. look
not all ppl rich like u can buy a new gadget etc..
so what u expect? in order to be compatible.. all need to pay for new lenses?
don't simply say it's a small issue..

some of us still live with their beloved old lens that supposedly can be used on any DLSR..
if the new body cannot use the old lenses, it's just doesn't make sense to make the crowd as their platform to test the stuff unless can get it free or not even pay for it..

we are the users who pay for the best for hard earned money, not like a lab rats..

don't feel offended if u already bought it, it should be somewhere to improvise..
it's just my opinion not bashing..

just that, some might buying the old lenses to cut cost but happen to be incompatible.. and again due to that fact buying the lenses would be trouble some.. why need to worry that much selecting lenses?

u only can know if u try it or stated somewhere about the issue.. sweat.gif
*
since when did i buy a new gadget bro? i am still using my a300 since 3 years ago. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

i got 2 unit 1870, still using... 2 years already both. working fine. my friend using A200 for 2 years, the lens still fine.

reason of the stripping is that i notice a lot ppl open close the hood, without "release to MF" putting stress in the gear with the motor engaged.

Minolta 2875 f2.8 good lens? Why is it so cheap compared to the cz2470?
*
1.because it can't do 24mm

2. because it doesn't have SSM

3. because it's not called Carl Zeiss tongue.gif

otherwise... flare control...centre to corner sharpeness.. CA control..distortion... cz2470 would most likely to excel in these areas(especially when wide open) compared to the minolta..anyway just guessing only i've never touched the 2875 before. smile.gif
