My house also using 600x600 pure white tile and I bought it from my friend which is imported from China. Btw, I heard Niro have this type of tile also. If u don't mind China's tile, I can try ask my friend whether he can sell loose order or not because normally he is dealing with project only.

Hi. Just done with my tiling. The contractor quite good, and charge reasonably too. Rm1000 for 400sf,  just for laying tiles, inclusive of labours and materials.

How to spot difference between grade 1 & 2 tiles ? I was at showroom & can't see anything wrong, or mayb my standard too low haha.. The savings a lot if use type 2, but will it be obvious when it is installed ? I was thinking using for wall. It is gloss white tiles.

Some grade 2 thickness are not even, some cutting are not symmetrical.

Some grade 2 are because in store too long color fade and the downgrade to grade 2.

rate is around rm3-4/psf for 1x1 tiles, rm4-6 for 2x2 tiles..so u can just multiply the area needed to be tile. In tiling, usually the 'window' area is included. doesnt sound fair rite? just give and take.
*
Hi all, 1st timer in doing renovation. Wanted to know does the above rate still valid? and oso does the rate include 'skirting' (the tiles above the floor tiles)?

I was quoted RM 880 for 14' * 9.5' area of a newly extended kitchen. The price include all the workmanship, 'skirting' and material, except tiles only. Does it sound reasonable?

This is too cheap to be true to include all materials...

Is it cheap? well, as mentioned, tiles are excluded in the price, so if i worked out the unit price is about RM6.55 psf.

Depends. Is it 2x1 tiles laid horizontally on wall? Cause those are harder to tile thus more expensive and needs adhesive called cement gun which are quite expensive. Better decide urself whether you want horizontal or vertical and ask your contractor which one he charge for. If its horizontal, then its considered cheap in my opinion
