QUOTE(gunh @ Sep 12 2011, 12:41 PM) same engine????? already so big gap with german TSi technology... if vios retain the same engine for the next all new launch, that will be a totally let down.... then toyota will be same like our proton saga... the current engine alraedy about 10yrs old tech... if carry forward again, dunno what to say liao.... toyota going dual vvti already, Altis was the first, the upcoming camry then later will be yaris/vios

We won't be able to enjoy the Valvematic and Direct Injection technologies unless from the grey importers.

But still many will buy Vios due to it's high reliability. Maybe that's why Toyota doesnt bother using a diffferent engine?

toyota tipu wan arr.. always use outdated tech.. haha. relax la..engine option still not known for new vios.. could be 1.3 offered for new J spec.. who knows rite? or maybe UMW being greedy (as usual) will stick to 1nz-fe but with CVT.. for sure kena whack kaw by other fanbois.
best if they can offer 1ZR-FAE (1.6 dual vvti with valvematic)
the new yaris is said to have better chassis rigidity and weightier steering.

"best if they can offer 1ZR-FAE (1.6 dual vvti with valvematic)" Impossible lar...dude...Even the new Altis is not using this engine yet..so I dont think so they will put this new tech into their lower entry car.. Somemore their new Yaris is using 1.3 Dual VVTi only. This post has been edited by geforce1982: Sep 13 2011, 01:53 PM

Even Lexus LFA engines (1LR-GUE) is not using Valvematic - only dual vvt-i. In terms of LYN F&F intelligence (Toyota fanboy & anti-fanboy) this means Altis engine = LFA engine. This post has been edited by dstl1128: Sep 14 2011, 11:20 AM

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Feb 25 2011, 11:47 PM) well not sure u need to patch things from inside or not too... for the tires... try 195/55 R15.... if not 195/50 R15 is the best choice but 195/55 R15 is more comfort... 195/60 is over size... what do you expect from your tires??? Comfort, Handling and Noise... Michelin PS3 (RM250~280) is low noise, good handling. good wet & dry traction but the comfort is acceptable... Bridgestone RE001 (RM250~280) is low noise, good handling, good wet & dry traction but comfort is so so... Hankook V12 Evo (RM200~220) is good comfort, good handling, good wet & dry traction but noise is slightly noisy... there is some others tires too, let us know what you expect on Handling, Comfort or Noise so that we can give you more accurate recommendation... RE001, my avanza is using 195/55R15 dam dam noisy when i switch frm XM1 6months ago, wet condition is suck but dry condition is dam good
