QUOTE(mikomiko87 @ Mar 6 2011, 03:00 AM) anybody knows that the latest promo for the TRD sportivo suspension kit. It mentioned valid for all variants. This suspention kit is it really will help the car stability and improve the overall suspension for the car?? better not la bro.. eventhough it is cheaper now during promo, still not worth it.. coz it only lowers the vehicle just a little bit.. better spend the money to buy aftermarket coilovers.. even the SA will tell you to buy outside.. lol

QUOTE(soulcornell @ Apr 14 2011, 07:00 PM) hi guys, im really a newbie about cars so was thinking once i got my J, thinking of changing my stock tyres and rims with these babies price here listed 1080k, so this price quoted for the whole set of 4 rims right? and not for a single rim. Thanks http://www.mudah.my/Sport+Rim+Ori+ENKEI+Tu...aru-8036978.htmyes. price is for 1 set (4 rims). enkei tuning is more expensive than normal taiwan rims, because it is licensed.

QUOTE(cheras123 @ May 3 2011, 11:41 AM) hi all vios owner ,after viewing this thread about 1 year +finally got my vios! any J spec owner change their steel rim ? mine to share the trade in price? i plan to buy used 2009 g or s spec rim. assuming the tires are brand new with very little mileage clocked, the lowest you should accept is RM400.. some owners managed to trade in for RM500+

QUOTE(jake23 @ May 17 2011, 07:27 PM) Any vios J manual owner here ? Want to ask about the manual gear box...... Is it brisk and smooth when changing gear manually ? If compare with wira 1.5 manual, which one better ? The J manual gb shifts as per normal gb.. slick and smooth on every gear, very nice feeling with minimal rubbery feeling, in fact, the rubbery feel is very little you will not notice it.. unlike proton always have stiff 2nd gear.. saga BLM manual gearbox is worst. too much freeplay.

QUOTE(vexus @ May 18 2011, 04:46 PM) Today got one SA call me n said vios got new model coming out next month. Some minor changes. I not sure what changes is it. I suspect it is the facelift vios TRD. QUOTE(vexus @ May 19 2011, 08:59 AM) Hey If you are given 2 option 4mil security tinted films by mye tint balakong Or Rebate rm500 I not sure about mye tint films. Is the 4mil tinted films worth rm500 ??? I'm confuse. better take the rebate rm500.. for that amount, can get a decent tint already.. 4mil security not worth it lah.. somemore probably it comes with low spec solar protectant.

QUOTE(tengyeow @ May 19 2011, 03:19 PM) hi all sifus, need to check with u on fuel consumption.. mine was the first batch of 2nd gen S model.. i use it for normal city driving.. pump shell ron 95.. but the last bar of petrol always starts blinking ard 380 km.. and lately 350-360 km.. i'm using normal mineral oil every service.. wut gives? how much did you pump? RM50 should give at least 300km for city driving. using mineral or synthetic shouldn't give much difference for FC. QUOTE(vexus @ May 19 2011, 10:47 PM) The sa trying to sell trd bodykit at rm1.5k Is it good deal? If the SA can prove it is the original bodykit made from ABS material, then up to you to get it or not.. Same price if you buy from outside.. alternatively you can opt for cheaper material which is made from PU. Scare if the SA install an inferior product but claimed it is original.

QUOTE(SiChaoBear @ May 20 2011, 09:10 PM) Is RON 97 recommended for vios ? Which oil can give better FC ? Thanks in advance =). the engine has no problem taking either 95 or 97.. 1nz-fe engine is not picky when it comes to fueling.. same goes to engine oil.. but of course, 97 will give slightly more power. QUOTE(tengyeow @ May 23 2011, 11:10 AM) @adrianocy tyre i'm using michelin PS3 195/55/15, easy on the gas pedal.. which is why i expected to get more kms from a full tank.. @overfloe i usually pump a full tank.. ard RM60+.. 350++km for RM60 should be normal for city driving, no worries. i'm using the same tires too.

QUOTE(tengyeow @ May 23 2011, 12:18 PM) @overfloe nicee.. i tot my car was the odd one.. some of my friends driving vios can get ard 400-450km per full tank.. no issues then.. cheers! For city driving, that sounds normal.. but for highway, full tank should give at least 500km.. drive sedately and you'll get 600km.. some MT owners are getting close to 700km.

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ May 23 2011, 12:37 PM) wow... Vios got addicted to facelifts... so many already no news on the changes? quite unusual for toyota to do that.. i suspect it is the new bodykit for TRD.

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jun 10 2011, 10:43 AM) sure or not? what i can conclude from reading a lot of sites and forums are constant gear changes, less than 100km/h, less than 3k rpm... no sudden acceleration and stay too long on 4th gear for long period... wonder how true is it... any comments from existing drivers? Why worry? I drove it hard.. coz at 1000km you will change the engine oil.. any problems can just ask the SC to rectify. But so far no probs.. even other ppl who drove it hard also no probs. Did that on all of my cars. But no probs also if you drive it slow and steady. 1000km use mineral. 5000km use semi-syn. 10000km onwards use fully syn. of course, you can use better oil just after 1000km, but why waste $$$?

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jun 10 2011, 12:40 PM) actually i'm concerned that it will affect the FC if thrash the car withing the first 1000km... how's your FC so far? i have a City VTEC which my wife is driving... 80km/h for the first 1000km actually gave her 550km per full tank... some more that time using mineral oil... now changed the full syn, easily 600km with full tank... FC as per normal.. RM50 will get 350km town driving.. full tank on highway, > 600km. 700km possible if slow-mo.. drive 130-140km constanst also can get > 600km. this is on mineral oil. I believe, the factory filled lube is fully-synthetic.. coz the feeling is so sedap!

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jun 10 2011, 03:30 PM) your car all stock? what you did during break in period?? but the >600km per full tank is 90%-100% highway lar? aiyoh bro.. already mentioned I drove it hard for break in. yes, > 600km is for 90-100% highway. stock.. and forgot to mention it is manual. but auto shouldn't be that far off.. hard break in period shouldn't affect the fc.. but not a problem if owners want to drive it slow and steady.. fast and furious also no prob

QUOTE(vexus @ Jun 11 2011, 06:43 PM) i rips off my vios today. I found number of sound insulation material on door panel & floor board. I wonder since there is sound insulation material, why the outside sound can hear so loud? road and tyre noise also loud... hmmmm. I think you need to soundproof the fender, undercarriage & floor.. since it contributes the most road noise into the cabin.

QUOTE(cfcho88 @ Jun 14 2011, 12:14 AM) Thanks..Too many specs to compare for Vios. Especially when the prices vary so much between them. I guess if the built quality difference only differs between hood and boot insulation that one can be easily installed. even after you install both under hood boot unsulation, no difference.. but the hood can cover heat..
