Maybe BSOD is because the power supply just 90Watts,that is not sufficient when i7-2630+Nvidia 540M under full load?
it's seem other i7+dedicated graphics card has 120W power supply.
*
Haha, it doesn't work that way.. i7-2630QM TDP only 45W... They're made to be stable and consume the optimal minimum power...

I am not completely sure how to explain this but I am sure underpowered is not the case... Let some sifu's to explain better instead..

they will release it back on early March, just wait for a while... Sandy Bridge would dominate the mainstream market for 2 years I think...

5750g owner reporting in...

So far having no problems with BSOD... but having problems with COD4 punkbuster restricted drivers... Though this may be more of a software problem...

I would like to point out that I hate NVIDIA Optimus.... I don't get to set my graphic settings High in certain games, as they detect only Intel GPU present...

And NV Optimus doesn't allow for linux direct rendering... I'd rather buy laptops without optimus from nowonwards...

Do you guys think its better to swap motherboard when its available?

Added u to the owner list.

I get BSOD with some games only - NFS hot pursuit and when I on back from sleep mode. So maybe you havent triggered BSOD yet. Care to test? Thanks..

When u play NFS HP will u experience tree blurr out or crash?

Impossible since the problem is global, not the retailer's choice also.

Nope, I contacted HighPoint at LYP when I go and fix my keyboard.
They called me to call HighPoint since they are not given any instructions yet.
Still lazy to call now.sweat.gif
But the guy told me if want to refund better refund like 1 month earlier, don't last minute refund.
hmm.gif
He said approximately 2 weeks to get the refund and this case happens for the first time in their history so cannot confirm about this.
If refund probably get Asus N series, but have to think first since need to top up and WAIT~~
ZZzz
Btw, before this I complaint about the keyboard that some keys have to click twice to reveal the words, the problem is the setting not the keyboard.
The technician tested for me after changing it and still occurs, after that only realised it is the language bar located at the right bottom option at the desktop.
sweat.gif
Anyhow I got a new keyboard and am satisfied with their service.

Planning to get option 3 , refund .

Considering asus N series or A series , realise tht i don really do gaming tht much and using 5750g is abit of overkill.

Maybe N53sv or A53sv. Build quality has bcome more of priority.

BTW, acer seem to have more convenient warranty since theres more service centres. hmmm choice : acer or asus ?

Both N53Sv and A53Sv also using 540M.. Difference is quad core and dual core.. Well, for gaming both machines would just have few fps differences, but then quad core is useful for some heavy engineering programs and stuffs if u use them..

If build quality is ur concern, by all means get N53Sv, asus A series is budget series and build quality is around Acer 5750G level also.. Dun forget N series have superior speakers as well.. Only downside is the solid build made it quite heavy compared to other 15 inchers
