the motherboard will be available on April if im not mistaken as i read it from other users who already contacted Acer Highpoint.It might takes 2-3 days after inspection depending on availability

yes. me too. i oso just called up the Acer service center (174/02/2011, 15:29).
they said the motherboard not yet arrived Malaysia.
So, what we can do is:
1. wait until march or april
2. Acer send people come to our house collect laptop to service (FOC)
3. Acer will send back our laptop to us oso after the service (FOC oso)
4. no need provide receipt, just provide them laptop enuf.

Well, they are built to withstand those kind of temp..

zzzzz..i getting frustrated with my 5750g..
my laptop keep BSOD when play games..
i already go to faq section they say coz the nvidia driver..
reinstall back the nvidia driver same problum occur..
anyone got same problem as me??

i think not all..juz few of the laptop got defect..but dunno can clain warranty or not..

I get BSOD with some games only - NFS hot pursuit and when I on back from sleep mode. So maybe you havent triggered BSOD yet. Care to test? Thanks..

i m a owner for 5750g , recently having some issues , just wan to ask whether y'all having the same issues,
My lappy takes extremely slow to run program or almost can't run. it's take about 15 to launch a program sometimes.

try removing all the bloatware, broken registry and old system restore point.u can do this by using CCleaner. Then you can defrag ur lappies using Defraggler. This works on my 5750G.Now it is good as new.

New batch already in the market. 

juz askin...i hav an acer 5750G...bought like in early feb....i checked with acer and they said tat my sandy bridge is faulty....so my question is wenever i ply high-graphics games like Call of Duty: Black Ops or Just Cause 2...my pc wil hav tis error.."Display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered"....so if i chg my sandy bridge will it solve tis problem?....or tis error has nothin to do with my sandy bridge?....

update my driver?...is tis the nvidia latest version 8.17.12.6619?...if so.. then i hav updated it...still prob gt...

budget not really an issue. prefer a light and portable one. but i guess if light and portable mostly wont have such good specs.

So N53N GPU is better than 5750g with better speakers and better build but MORE EXPENSIVE than 5750g by about RM600. I talked to dealer today, now new 5750g comes with 2GB dedicatied for GPU. Previously was 1GB.....
He said now 5750g deal is VERY attractive.

^new 5750G still use GT540M, but "upgraded" to 2GB version and got bluetooth..

I guess I put this info here since I don't think a lot of people will buy 4743 series laptop, but this is Optimus specific problem.

Anyone have problems playing GTA IV with Optimus? Specifically missing texture? I got a fix. Create commandline.txt in GTAIV directory and put "–availablevidmem 8".

The number 8 is the multiplier of the VRAM you got, sadly GTAIV only detect integrated Intel HD even if it run on dedicated card so your VRAM is around 50-200MB at most, so using this it will multiply the VRAM so it detect you have more VRAM and so it won't have missing texture.

Surprisingly even GT 520M is capable of playing GTAIV at medium setting and native resolution! This is astonishing as previous HD5470 with nearly similar spec is not capable of playing it at more than 1024x600 low detail without crawling to a standstill. The build-in benchmark tell I get average of 33fps at the specific setting
