Hi, just jumping here to fix my bro 5750g.
problem is hhd is stated 'degraded' by windows, and refuses to install recovery section. so i opt to put a spare hhd into the laptop 160gb as a temp. however when i download the 'X15-65733' image ISO and mount it into a bootable USB using 'Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool' it keeps giving me the 'Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition' error. pre-realease disk installed successfully on the 5750g but is listed as 32bit, thus restricting me to upgrade to 64 bit using the ISO. tried burning the ISO to a blank DVD using IMGBURN software but seems to give me error (done on my n53sn) im usually from the n53sn section and i did a clean be4 but 5750 is just so strange.. so if any1 can answer me these 2 question 1)any ideas how to clean install to a new HHD, using the ISO 'X15-65733' (home premium win7 64 bit) best possible USB stick 2)if possible can u give me a copy of the product key under ur laptops, my bro copy is smeared and vanished.. -as far as i know the unable to create a new system partition should be skiped if there is only 1 partition and no unallocated space but still it refused. -New HHD should be able to take an OS, as ubuntu ran nd installed, then win 7 pre-realease candidate installed and worked. -hhd was config to boot 1st and 2nd swaping with usb drive doenst work. any ideas? |

Can you completely delete all the partition on that HDD?
Then using the USB stick to install the Windows. It should have 2 partition created, 100MB partition and your C: drive. |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Mar 6 2013, 02:13 AM) Can you completely delete all the partition on that HDD? somehow, using USB didn't let me install win 7 system even if i use win 7 disk manager, ubuntu disk wipe, diskpart clean', etc. it just gives me error. Then using the USB stick to install the Windows. It should have 2 partition created, 100MB partition and your C: drive. anyhow, i tried burning another dvd and voila, it worked. (or maybe because i jumped from ubunto full os and win 7 used their system) so a note to people installing through bootable usb, it might not work out nicely. Now, can any1 pass me a product key under ur laptop.. i can verify that i have a 5750g here beside my n53sn if u want but keying in my sn OEM product key worked for now and i duno got future hassles.. (verifying) thanks lee for helping problem solved. thank u all for helping This post has been edited by springfall: Mar 6 2013, 10:27 AM |

Anyone knows where to get battery replacement for 5750g? Is it necessary to get original battery or oem battery?

Hi there. Here's my problem. OVERHEATING. I am sick of it.. I own an acer aspire 5750g(gt630m,8gb ram,i5 2450m). I've already opened it up, cooled the vents and the cooler, repasted the gpu and cpu, reinstalled windows. I realised my pc is sometimes at 80-85C on idle and i noticed that my fan was not working. It's not working all the time.
P.s: i updated the bios from 1.15 to 1.21 yesterday, i see no improvements. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Any help would be much appreciated. i saw my bro 5750g temps avg idle 60+ fresh install (120gb hhd) mine 48-52'c (old 1yr+ with many junk) and i do realise his fans are some chepo ones by acer. i mean even mbpro use meglev fan models, hence spinning faster and quieter. maybe try finding a nice fan for ur laptop since u went through the hassle of opening it. put this as a last resort cuz modding ur fan is not as very advisable. u sure u clean all vents? intake and blower used new paste? diomond? notice fan not working?? is it jamed when u clean it? wiring? u used any software to modify the fans rpm values? if so don't use it. u sure u feel the blower vent feel hot? take a thermometer and check. might be sensor failed. btw ur 5750g comes with gt 630m?? i tot 540m only? |

It's not working all the time. I also encountered this problem before. After reapply new thermal paste on both cpu and gpu, the temperature still doesn't drop. Then I reopen my laptop, remove the heatsink and open the fan. I unscrew the 3 small screws on the fan and found out that there is lots of dust in there. I clean it out. Now the temperature is 43 degree idle on battery, and 60 if I plugged in the charger. On full load, maximum about 79 degree I think.P.s: i updated the bios from 1.15 to 1.21 yesterday, i see no improvements. Any help would be much appreciated. |
