What you guy think about tamron1750mm VC ?

I dont like to use 3rd party (i did not say the 3rd party not good) but i have no choice , nikkor 1755mm out of my budget and i prefer to save the money to get 24-70mm, 24mm, FX as I need two bodies (FX and DX) one for video one for shoot

Well, optics wise its pretty good for a lens at that price. But it is slow in AF and also hunts under low light.
*
Yes, I've tried it, both VC and non-VC tend to hunt in really low light situation. But after using the af assist from the external flash it hunts much much less(still hunt, but only shooting at far away subject). So put on the flashgun and it shouldn't be a problem using that lens. smile.gif

People say the non-VC is sharper but the ones they're selling now comes with built-in-motor which is pretty darn slow to focus compare to VC.

So goin for the VC is better IMO.

Alright , thanks you celciuz and pikipiki

I wondering low light situation is how low ?

Let assume indoor with fluorescent light , will still hunt very frequently?

Im asking , because i want to get some ideas in my mind before i go try that len." Please dont reply go to try it at shop lar "

The purpose i wan this len is i wan the coverage of 17-50 with f2.8 , fast len.

How if tamron compare with sigma 18-50mm f2.8? which one better? thanks for telling me again

Normal indoor shooting definitely will have no problem(you can use your camera assist lamp anyway). Low light as in like those really really dim western restaurant or bar. Or at night shooting buildings or landscape.

Have no idea of the siggy 18-50, but for the other siggy 17-50, of coz it's better(less hunt, faster AF,near silent AF) since it's almost 800-1k more expensive.

Check the lens properly and try a few samples before choosing one, make sure the zoom ring is smooth, check the focus and check the mount. This are the few things that the tamron normally have defects at.

But for the price you really can't ask for much. smile.gif

The AF focus speed really does not matter for me , i wan accurate can d, as long as dont slow like turtle can d , and somemore im not using pro body , because usually the focus speed is affected by the bodies most right?

There's plenty of choice for tripod and bag to fit those items really.

For myself I'm planning to the get the Kata Bumblebee 222 Ultra-Light, good load, build quality is excellent and I think it looks great for a backpack(personal preference).

For tripod, I saw the Jusino tripod on ShaShinKi, never use it before but the price is pretty decent and it can load(as stated) up to 12kg.

It's a flagship model of Kata so it's a lil pit pricey, you can get it around rm850.
But worth the money IMO, nice design, strong with aluminium frame and some 'spine', build quality is second to none, got some gecko bag strap, can fit in a 15'' laptop, what I like the most it is not in black color(it's grey) and it's pretty light for those types of bag.

Kata dr-467i not bad too. smile.gif

If you want a good looking bag, check out the incase ari marcopoulos, best looking camera bag IMO(not the most practical). tongue.gif

Wow..quite expensive for a backpack that size..although it is quite big.

I need a bag that looks like a normal backpack, isn't too flashy, practical, and not to big so that I can carry it with me on an airplane...

looking at kata & lowepro but i'm confused as there are a lot of bags to look at and im not sure all the shops carry all models.
