change the channel of the router. go manual wireless setup, then disable automatic channel and choose any lower than 11.

I just found that the newer firmware 7.09, got both admin and operator account.

Actually what is the difference between admin account and operator account.

Admin account still can access certain features and changing it, although far less.

Don't quite understand on the statement.

The 'operator' and 'admin' accounts can access the management interface. The operator has read/write access and can change passwords, while the user has read-only access.

The original D-Link firmware had two accounts, 'admin' and 'user'. The 'user' account had a lower level of access to the router while the 'admin' account had full access. In the TM firmware, the roles are swapped. 'user' (old firmware) becomes 'admin' (new firmware) and 'admin' (old firmware) becomes 'operator'. This was done so that the TM callcenter staff could have full access to the router via the operator account while the user was limited to whatever was in the admin account.

The operator account has access to advanced features like VLAN management, SSH/telnet management whereas the admin account only has access to wifi/PPPoE settings.

Anyway to discover the 'operator' password ?

I got the config.bin, tried to use the routerpassview but it didn't work on the firmware 7.09

Thanks for the clarification, the admin account is no longer the admin. wink.gif

I found that in operator account, TR-069 is enabled.
But all remote management is disable, including SSH, Telnet.

So do I need to disable the TR-069?

7.09 has a new config.bin format, if your pass isn't one of the two defaults you can :

1) Reset the router and reconfigure the PPPoE settings manually (operator should default back to one of the two default passwords)

2) Access the router via a RS232-TTL connector on the router board and perform a dump of /dev/mem

I could also probably extract it out of your config.bin for you but I don't like handling peoples PPPoE credentials :3

This is freaking ridiculous. I registered online on Feb 9, 2011. Put in installation from 230pm to 730pm on Feb 18, 2011 which is today.

Received confirmation of installation on Feb 15, 2011 and waited for 3 freaking hours today. No one turn up for installation.

Guess what? I need to call 1300 88 1221 to check my account installation status. Now they need to check here and there for technician.

Ok.

I have just got my Unifi service.

BTU ---> Phone ----> TP-Link TL-WR841N ---> LAN 1 for Aztech/TP Link Homeplug
LAN 4 as usual for IPTV

Will this work? Because I want to achieve speed stability from using homeplug.

ps: Wireless USB adapter 802.11b/g does not support the D-link unifi router? Because it seems it cannot detect.

you should be able to use homeplug for the lan..
LAN1 > homeplug >> HOMEPLUG >> PC/DESKTOP...

im NOT SURE IF YOU CAN

LAN1 > HOMEPLUG > HOMEPLUG >> PC/DESKTOP
LAN4 > HOMEPLUG > HOMEPLUG >> IPTV

in the same house.. meaning you using 4 homeplugs...

Please clarify what you mean by supported. If you just mean is it supposed to work, then yes, it should work since it's a certified 802.11n Draft 2.0 unit. If you actually meant to ask why it doesn't work, then we can't help you because you didn't supply enough info.

Resolved.

Btw, if I use TP link 841, should I port forward for better performance in torrenting?

I think there's no other mode selection I can choose from say b/g/n or bgn mixed etc in 192.168.0.1 Unifi D link router. Hence I guess this is the reason why my aztech wireless adapter which is b/g mode couldn't detect the wireless signal.

Can resolve?

DIR615 supports bgn, bg or n-only operation. This is set at Advanced Wireless page. I presume you are not just experiencing the famous DIR615 wireless drop off issue, meaning wifi works up to some random period and then stops working. But even with this issue, the wifi network is still detectable in my experience.

Edited to add bg mode operation.

I am pretty sure that the throttling has begun. I'm using a VIP10 line in my condo at setapak. Daytime, My line will only be as high as 2.5mbps. After 1AM or so, the line goes back to normal. I'm pretty sure its not that cable fault or whatsoever because TM's own speedtest shows slow speed.
