VIP5 here, why do I get full speed (700kB/s) in the first few seconds of any Youtube video I watch? And after a few seconds it goes on a constant 200kB/s speed until the end of the video, is there a fix to this? Using Google Chrome.

Anyone have try to register online for Unifi. I have try to register for more then a week but each time it will show "connection to server disconnect" or something like that.

i somehow realised that the site has some browser compatibility issue. try to use chrome or internet explorer, instead of firefox. otherwise.. you just need to keep trying.

But if you actually download larger files from US based servers, once it has a minute or so to reach full speed, still possible to max out connection. If I run a speedtest to US server, shows slow speed. If I download from US based Usenet server, can still max out to 2mb/s on VIP20

Nono, 20 Mbits/s = 2.5 megabytes / second
and 2.5 megabytes is 2560 kilobytes / second

Not exact? It's nowhere close enough. He's correcting your incorrent interpretation of Mbps and MB/s.

I always get confused between them, but the point I was trying to make initially is that I'm able to max out my connection downloading from international servers.

Unifi website only seems to show Block A+B, maybe best to give them a call to confirm availability for Block C.

BTW, i would like sifus here to help me. Currently I have a Linksys WRT54GL router with Victek Tomato Firmware. I plan to subscribe Unifi very soon.
My question is, can i use my Linksys router on Unifi system? Is the router compatible with Unifi device/modem? I would like to attach the Linksys router with Unifi device because I need the function of it. And i heard that i can use the bridge mode.
Please advice me. Thanks!
