Thank for the info. What you mean it is purely security and no additional or new feature improved ?

I heard that N900 with CSSU installed has no need to update that Security patch right? Correct me if i am wrong.

CSSU already built in the patch long before Nokia did, you don't have to upgrade it, this patch is for native Maemo 5 rolleyes.gif

that guy con you, N900 never support chinese input natively, you need to download a program to key in chinese/japanese language.

as far as I know, there are 3 ways to key in chinese/japanese, you can search around http://www.wda.cn/forum.php for chinese input.

p.s. same for MMS, N900 never support it also, you need fMMS install

starting to feel that N900 is getting a bit slow for me..
Even when overclocked, sometimes it's just laggish, how come?
What I cant stand most are random reboots.. or is it coz the RAM is fully used? causing it to reboot? Hmm..

Yep. The best way is to use the SCIM stack adapted for Maemo. I can't remember but there are at least three different adaptations of it. I'm using the maemocjk set to input in JP.

But once you install it (for mine anyway), you'll lose your virtual keyboard as it'll be replaced with the input box for CJK, and you'll have to type in it using the physical keyboard

hm...maybe you miss tune the setting causing it to overload hence auto reboot the system when it is overworked.

I use Emacs, my virtual keyboard is intact, only a bit troublesome to input, but it's worth it rolleyes.gif

Firstknight : I reformat not too long ago.. roughly 4 months ago? or is it really been a long time? Hmm..

mashimarow : Maybe you are right too? I am overclocked to 1150max, but I think the voltage settings (ideal, ULV, those sort of settings) might be unsuitable.. Any suggestions on tweaking these settings?

if someone going to port it to Maemo, maybe it can, but looking in current situation, there will be people rather port it to meego than maemo hmm.gif

But impractical if you have some Japanese people in your contacts, and I need to type almost as fast as they can do while still looking up the dictionary (still learning the language - thanks to Gjiten I can).

... Well, it's not like I really favor typing on the VKB all the time, it's only at times I feel so lazy to flip out the physical keyboard. Especially when I'm using the phone on portrait mode...

Emacs only support hardware keyboard hence didn't altering the virtual keyboard setting. If you msg a lot, I don't think Emacs will suites you wink.gif

My N900 battery drain very fast even I'm not using it. How can I know which apps draining the battery?
