Hi guys
Ever tried Navit or qlandkarte M on Nokia N900 ? Since the softwares able to read garmin map?

Just asking since N900 probably dont have proper GPS software ? Just want to know.

If N9 or N900 able to read garmin map, this is definitely a plus for me.

Not really worth updating it since CSSU has already fixed it. Unless you never install the CSSU.

From the link posted by Patent, it's a security only fix, which is quite serious security regarding SSL.

just a minor update, not upgrade. You might need to backup your phone data first just in case. For me, the update run smooth, download 300+kb, some updating and phone restart itself, then back to normal, the version is updated at setting info

so, double confirm to you, no need to reinstall anything, just like installing normal apps except the phone restart part blush.gif

oh, just another triple confirm, it works for native Meamo OS only, if you tinker the OS such as CSSU, don't patch it

p.s. I didn't install enhance kernel too, so anyone can confirm it didn't crash with it also?

My advice, is if you plan to have better upgrades/options, the CSSU is actually pretty stable now. I've had nearly NO issues (actually, cause I'm not sure if some of the issues are CSSU related or not) and I've been using the CSSU ever since it was first created.

However, just remember to backup everything in an SD card, make sure you know how to flash the N900 properly, and nothing else should be a bother.

I highly recommend the CSSU.... well, since most of us are moving on to other devices already, the N900 should be pretty much the 2nd phone eh? I'm basically just tweaking and effing up my N900 to my hearts content.

Give it a go. I dare ya. tongue.gif

Sadly, not one phone can replace N900, it's still my primary device, I've use N8 and N9, without physical keyboard is just a nono; Secondly, n Flash, MeeGo lack of Desktop, etc. Without a good browser with Flash, I can't visit Desktop version sites, I never like browsing with FB App, I always browse Desktop sites on N900.

Waiting for a good Android qwerty device, which may never have; Droid 3 is "okok" but not officially available; Captivate Glide not idea coming here or not? Maybe the Xperia Pro, although spec is low, but the price is ok, plus it has good display and nice built quality. Maybe if there's a good telco plan which offer very cheap price for the phone...

Demoed the N9 at a shop.... it is TOO beautiful and responsive. I'm used to the SGSII and it kinda blows my mind still with the responsiveness and the swipe interface. Very very frustrated that it is not going to be supported. What the hell is Nokia thinking? What a fabulous device
