Long time no see guys. haha..
Anyway, I need help..
Since sometime ago, my N900 cant update or install new things. I'm using FAPman, when i try to update or install new things,
it says : Some of your packages have unmet dependencies which could not be fixed. See the log for details.

Any idea what's wrong?

-f, --fix-broken
Fix; attempt to correct a system with broken dependencies in
place. This option, when used with install/remove, can omit any
packages to permit APT to deduce a likely solution. Any Package
that are specified must completely correct the problem. The op‐
tion is sometimes necessary when running APT for the first time;
APT itself does not allow broken package dependencies to exist
on a system. It is possible that a system’s dependency structure
can be so corrupt as to require manual intervention (which usu‐
ally means using dselect( or dpkg --remove to eliminate some
of the offending packages). Use of this option together with -m
may produce an error in some situations. Configuration Item:
APT::Get::Fix-Broken.

-m, --ignore-missing, --fix-missing
Ignore missing packages; If packages cannot be retrieved or fail
the integrity check after retrieval (corrupted package files),
hold back those packages and handle the result. Use of this op‐
tion together with -f may produce an error in some situations.
If a package is selected for installation (particularly if it is
mentioned on the command line) and it could not be downloaded
then it will be silently held back. Configuration Item:
APT::Get::Fix-Missing.

Hardware = same with N9 (which was drop-dead gorgeous) + camera button. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Software = i was actually.... not feeling to negative about windows phone. For a regular consumer, I think the active tiles, deep integration of social networking with contacts (conversation style ala N900), and FREE turn-by-turn navigation will definitely win over many new smartphone users.

yeah... if you take the windows phone as it is and try not to compare it too much with what we EXPECTED from a next nokia flagship, I actually feel that the phone is smooth and very meego-esque in terms of responsiveness and UX.

If you're into the whole Windows phone experience, I think the Lumia is currently the front runner in windows phone. Even the likes of the HTC Titan or Radar... I don't see them gunning anywhere close to the sleekness, premium-feel and just general user experience compared to the lumia.

Vaizard : Yup, i did type root first.

About the Nokia Lumia, I tend to agree that it's quite attractive, but hardware wise, I think they could have done better? Higher RAM and so.. make it upgradable to the next version of WP OS, as the Engadget review noted.

about being upgradeable to WP OS, I don't think they mentioned about it NOT being able to be updated to WP OS, that will be up to M$ eh?

higher RAM? I don't think any phone currently will sport anything beyond 2GB RAM. plus, after trying out the N9, I think 1GB ram is more than sufficient to run all the apps that it provides. I'm sure for Mango, it should also run all the native apps smoother cause it doesn't handle multitasking like how the N9 allows all the Meego applications to run live. So I'm guessing the limited multitasking will serve the UX better
