Bro,

I dont think any inspira owner here has done that mod yet. So all these mods, you are still able to claim warranty?
*
the best is keep the car stock. cuz alot of perodua and other car brand once got spoil they can said any kind of reason that ur mod done that.
just like police summons u.

Bro,

you are buying a brand new car not a used / 2nd hand car. Anything you mod, that touches the engine, exhaust system, wiring and gearbox will confirm void your warranty when you wanna claim your warranty. No matter how close you are with the SC.

the trip down to singapore yesterday was a terrific drive, only managed to test speeds up to 170km/h on 3-4 times, due to wife disturbing my concentration asking to slow down and also tested the auto cruise, love to use it in sg where maintaining legal speed is a must and with it the urge to tekan is no more,

In sg, lancers are checking my car, lol, even 2 evo x check it out from behind, must say quite alot of lancers in sg, mostly mod to the max, they must feel weird to see my car, lol

Sothys, now that you had traveled far outstation on 18" diameter n 8" wide rims, please relate us on your journey. Firmer ride? FC changes if noticeable? More stable when taking corners? No more nyek sounds from absorbers? Any of springs bottoming or tyres touching the wheel arches?

You are definitely capable of wonderful write-ups on your experiences with those nice rims.

Thanks Bro!

By changing the exhaust, it won't spoilt the engine. If u fix a turbo, then if ur the manager of the SC also can't claim warranty.

So, for people who don't wanna take the risk, please keep car standard.

For others, enjoy the mods.

I will try my best to give a detailed description, here goes:

The steering feel becomes little heavier on the 18" due to weight of the rims. Ride is firmer with low profile tires & tire noise become more apparent due to the bigger tire grooves, FC is still very good for this long distance journey, I averaged 6.8L/100KM for the journey from PJ to Tuas, I drive mostly at 110km/h with auto cruise on, as mentioned earlier I did speed for few times over 160km/h to over take large numbers of cars smile.gif also to test the car performance at that speed, at 160km/h no apparent vibration to steering or to the car or any floating feel. So give you the confidence in handling at those high speed.

Do note that I have installed UR bars on the front, back and bottom of my car so it helps when cornering & stability. Cornering becomes more accurate and stable, very much less body roll than before.

After changing to 18" with tires 225/40/18 no touching of wheel arches or spring bottoming experienced even going over a bump as there is enough clearance. Everything feels like stock setup except the noticeable increase in road noise and firmer ride. I dont mind this for a better handling and driving experience.

The point about absorber "nyek" sound, its still there in the morning hump but much milder/softer now maybe I am taking the humps slower due to my new rims.

Hope its good enough smile.gif

like i said above the sound of ngek why not u just humpin ur ride with ur own hand and see?? if keep facing means leaking if not den just like this. cuz some absober do make noise while humping the bump like the air sound and etc.

and tinted u can go eco tint to claim .

Legally & On paper, yes..
but realistically, if the SC aren't fussy or scrutinize the car & put it in the report, the manager can just claim the parts for u.
happened to me before, modded kaw2, but just went to SC & claim warranty for absorbers, leaking headlamps, etc.
But that's a small SC.

My friend was unfortunate, he went to COE to claim for something, can't remember what. They checked & found out he had cut a wire to put in a HU before (he changed to stock HU before claiming). So COE said warranty void, he had to pay 100%.

Anything you do to add/change to the car that is different from factory condition is a mod.
Just a matter of calling it minor or major mod.

people mod to improve it or make it unique to suit their preferences.

Happy holidays everyone, though it is coming to an end... but we all enjoyed our rides well.

Kena cucuk by a red lansi in Malacca. Was casually passing on the fast lane and he was on the left lane.. suddenly he come chasing me from behind.. (haiz.. lansi owners mentality really sucks). I was cruising faster n faster but I had to let it go coz wasn't familiar with the kampung roads there n was with family members. Anyway I got nothing to proof coz both practically same car. Then a mod wira also did the same. What's with all these f*** up ppl? Did 180km/h runs on highways though with everything stock standard. Cool..

And yes, many ppl looking at my car coz inspira is still a very rare car on the road... Did not see other inspiras but a few lansi...
