QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Apr 17 2011, 03:33 PM) I'll see what I can do, contacted a few guys already. Thanks a lot for your effort. Who is planning to bring it in so far? I know iamyuanwu is planning to do that with the local distros, which cost RM110 and 2~3 months wait right? I really hope I'll good news for you all soon. Other than iamyuanwu, trio said that he found a supplier, but they're in the process of creating it IINM.. QUOTE(islubio @ Apr 17 2011, 03:41 PM) That's about RM60 per pair? Nice! But sadly there are only 2 in stock.. |

Oh! If trio is working on it, then you guys have little to worry about. I trust he'll bring them in for very good prices.
But regardless, I'll see what I get, if there's anything good I will update you all. |

Doomsday, technically speaking it might be your laptop's that's causing the hissing. Due to the packed nature of the Laptop components simply getting electricity running through all of them might cause a hissing sound. Perhaps the lower frequency sounds masked the hissing?
Just throwing ideas out there. But I would suggest you to try other sources and get the conclusions yourself. |

Let me update a little after burning in for let say 10 hours for the HD668B.
It's getting more natural to listen to it, and listening to any other headphone become unnatural to listen it to. Now using PCM2704 -> cMoyBB 2.03 (OPA2227, still the best for bass)-> HD668B. All with my diy cable. When listening to rock pop, you can hear full bass, rich treble many many sound yet you wont think it's noisy at all as all instruments is clear and very musical. Another way to tell how good this headphone is, when you put it on, it's very hard to take it off as all music you listening is so amazing and addictive. Please I beg all entry level headphile/audiophile people to get this cans first before paying hundreds and hundreds on other cans. |

Awww tempting 668b... From all the reviews i read so far... 668b is the best bang for buck right... Other cans have got impedance too high for direct output from my mp3 player/laptop. 50+- Ohm should be nice for my laptop. I think that's also the max my laptop can go without an amp... Others with 150 ohms can't be considered at all... Sweat!

When i'm on it with 32ohm can, at 100% volume, barely satisfied me. But my laptop, a dell studio series should be able to drive it loud. |

For the Taobao ones. You guys know anyone that can help us do order from China? I know most Taobao sellers don't send overseas, and don't accept overseas payments.
I have a few friends in China who may be able to help. But courier/EMS to Msia... tak tau berapa; and how to pay him... I also tak tau. Enigmatic, I'm a bit OCD. So I'm currently only interested in AKG's velour pad. Lain-lain tak mau. Hahahahah! If you can get cheaper and faster, I'm all for it. |

Stay away from using LM series opamps for the headphone through it will sound veiled on mids which is bad really. |

QUOTE(Hitman66 @ Apr 18 2011, 08:56 AM) opa is famous of giving in warm sound signature into any headphone that was attached to it.i think I get the idea on how it sounds now. A bit out of topic, but for those having diy headamp and wanna pair with HD668B, I would recommend opa2227( laid back, warm, bassy) and AD823 (delicate mid, nice soundstage but not as wide as opa2227) .Stay away from using LM series opamps for the headphone through it will sound veiled on mids which is bad really. I have LM4562 as well, but I quite don like it with HD668B cause it makes the soundstage narrower and too analytical. This post has been edited by ssyycc: Apr 18 2011, 01:58 PM |

I don't think they perform the same really. While HD668B is more towards into clarity the MS1 is more on musicality (a term that when you listening to a song you'll be enjoying it instead of noticing some simbilances that the song has most of the time) instead.Other then that MS1 isn't that picky with amps and sources compared to HD668B which is when you applying it with a wrong setup it would sound probably as good as any under RM100 headphones on the market.
