I'm now wondering the HD669 and HD330. No more budget to try them all. Aand I'm not interested in owning so many headphones, I've only got a pair of ears.
If someone buys them, lets have a TT session and audition.

That amp is made from steel (or is it aluminium?). It's built like a tank.
IIRC, when I bought my 668B in Instraco... the 681 series were plugged into the HA3D amp. Didn't manage to try it. But it does look pretty much indestructible. I think it will break a toe if dropped on someone's foot. LOL! This post has been edited by iamyuanwu: Jan 30 2011, 11:38 PM |

QUOTE(MrJinggles @ Jan 31 2011, 01:10 AM) I think better if can do @ Jaben, that way can compare with other headphones and see which amp can go well with the Superlux headphones. But I'll try to make it for the TT la even if not @ Jaben. I'll let you guys, the owners and soon to be owners decide Seriously, better not in Jaben, eventhough i like that place. They don't carry Superlux products, then whole gang of Superlux users go there to TT but tak beli barang... they also need to do business, dont disturb them lah. And the owners a bit not syok with Superlux.Unless they are having TT, and only a few of us go, then ok lah. Try open a tread in Headjam and see the reaction. TT probably after CNY. Some where central and slightly quieter. Maybe that food court next to Times book store in The Gardens. |

Oh btw 662/662f/662b around the price of 681 and 668 and 669 slightly more expensive than 668b. I would look forward to hearing reviews of 662 and 669. Someone please buy them bring to TT. Then I can decide whether to sell my current ones to buy them. Hah hah!for basshead, 651. but do read the review first. Coz for me the bass is overwhelming but then again I am not a basshead. It got me headbanging session with paramore. 681 bass is just slightly more powerful than 668b only. Since u got 668b u should know how 681 bass sounds like d. Its the same tight bass just slightly stronger. But with proper setup, the bass will be stronger Happy Chinese New Year to all Chinese! And Have An AWESOME Holidays to everyone! Don't ter-poison your relatives when you let them hear your Superlux. Hah hah! Lets TT after CNY. |

Told ya some |33+ gonna come here ar-ji-ar-jor loh.
------ QUOTE(windboy @ Feb 10 2011, 09:17 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Superlux are not comparable in every way to higher end products. But under favourable situations, they can come pretty close. And they certainly are very enjoyable. So, I am curious... why do you find that offensive? And the rule of diminishing returns: To get more performance, both the consumer and the manufacturer wi'll have to pay an escalating price for it. To squeeze the last 10% of performance, they have to spend 90% of the cost to refine the product, get more exotic parts, pay for specialised service, pay for expensive human resource, promote/market the product like crazy, etc... So it is not surprising that Superlux is comparable in certain areas. Besides, some guys here own both high end gears and cheap Superlux cans... and they just wanna compare for personal reasons: and is that of any serious consequences to you? And who says big brands like Westone, Final Audio, Earsonic don't spend big budget on marketing? They don't advertise in local magazines doesn't mean they don't promote their products using other means (e.g. sponsorship, forums, paying for artists as ambassadors, sending review units, etc). Probably less than Monster, but still huge amounts of money. |

Guys, are you all interested in Superlux club TT on 27th Feb, Sun... around noon in MidValley Garden's food court? It's the only weekend I'm off work.
Those who wanna try out some of the headphones/earphones can come try out, owners can come discuss mods or what DAC/players have good synergy with the cans, can bring other brands to do some simple comparisons (no thrashing other brands obviously), etc... I could open up my headphones for others to look around inside. I also wanna find out if anyone is interested in modding their Superlux. Oh, someone please bring a pair of PcWork recabled KSC75. Wanna try it, Superlux ain't that portable. 1. iamyuanwu - whatever little bit of gear I have. 2. [insert name] 3. 4. 5. This post has been edited by iamyuanwu: Feb 17 2011, 02:13 AM |

As for gaming, not sure if the sound stage is wide enough for gamers. I find it OK lah. |
