finally joined the games of flashing firmware / kernel...

my own testing and finding (after many times trial and error):
Issues encounterd for each version:
* Paul version
  - Stock browser has rotation issue. Auto rotate and become upside down.

* modoca ext4 latest version (p1000-mck-r3-ext4-cwm.tar)
  - Bluetooth headset pairing issue. Paired but fails to connect. I'm using iTech D-Clip Radio.

* OC v15 (GalaxyTab_1400_MCR_ext_V15.zip)
  - Bluetooth headset pairing issue. Paired but fails to connect. I'm using iTech D-Clip Radio.

* Roto version
  - Roto-JME-Full-v4 and Roto-JMI-Full-v2, Bluetooth headset pairing working fine.

Now flashed with Roto JMI version and officially start using today.
*

Backing up my data right now. Then will try the v12. If not working, give up already... sweat.gif

Added on February 25, 2011, 2:44 pmIts working, can charged normally. But the temperature is actually a 'dummuy/fake' value right? It should be dangerous if battery overheats.

I was on v13. Early this week,while the temp read 37deg, the phone became alarmingly hot(the top right side)-i mean the kind of hot where you put yourhand on screen you would instinctively pull it away.when the temp read38deg,the screen became even hotter. Obviously the temp sensor has incorrectly read the real temp. Even w ith battery temp at 40deg, the sreen normally doesn't feel that hot.

Anyway I used set cpu to max it to 1ghz without uv and the screen temp dropped. Later when i set cpu to max at 1.2ghz,the prblem came bavk again. Forward to koxudaci kernel,v15 and back to modaco's kernel.
Think the scren is cooler with koxudaci's kernel though.

So take care.

its something like OC-ing ur computer... when u set the processor to run at higher speed, ur temperature goes up!
tats y the voltage control app is for...

i tried a few days back setting 200-400Mhz for charging, lol my tab was lagging and the temperature is much cooler than im charging...
so i assume that setcpu have something to do with the temperature, as the voltage control is for the stability and battery draining

Some info about the undervolt control:

- full UV user control via sysfs
- works on all governor
- echo "50 50 150 75 75 100" >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/UV_mV_table
- column 1 for 1.4ghz, 2 for 1.2ghz, 3 for 1000mhz, 4 for 800mhz, 5 for 400mhz, 6 for 200mhz and lastly 100mhz
-values are mV
- Use xan's app if you don't like to work in terminal/adb here

im sure "50 50 150 75 75 100" means default/recommended ...
and 200 is for everything is not recommended?

Hi all, I'm not yet a SGT user, but plan to be part of the family very soon. I'm now using HTC Desire btw..

This morning I was in a demo session organized by my dept that was tasked to decide between iPad & SGT for our top management. I guess being an Android user, for me it was really no contest. But one interesting thing the Samsung rep told us that.. & he had one set with him this morning for the demo, Samsung will release a Wifi only version of SGT in the middle of March.. the cost will be around RM1600... I plan to get that one la...

If this is old news then I'm sorry. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Yeah, Digi. It looks like we need to search the mobile network manually, then it connects. My friend who do factory reset on his SGS also got this problem and use the same solutions.

I have used both ipad and galaxy tab. Seriously for management purpose the ideal choice is the TAB. I been in top maangement for past 15 years and I do know what management should do with a tablet and what are the requirements. I am sure your managers do not wish to lug around a heavy tablet unless they plan to play games while in transit at airport or during board meeting !!! LOL! For ipad be prepare spend another US$17 for quickoffice or docs to go or US$30 for the iwork package as ipad do not supplied office suite software
