And they don't blame themselves for buying low end camera which cost RM 9.90 whistling.gif
Apparently, the slow focus isn't the lens problem. Is your bloody camera problem. It focus fast enough on D700 and above series. Reason ? Blame Nikon for not giving better AF module in your low end camera laugh.gif

Lol yeah, buy el cheapo camera and want to complain the focus speed doh.gif U pay peanuts sure get peanuts laugh.gif

Then how the lens focus ? rolleyes.gif
Explain to me then.
You guys actually take stop watch to compare the speed of focusing ? doh.gif
C'mon get a life. Fast or slow, does it really matter much ? And as if you're shooting sport with that bloody 50mm tongue.gif
*
Ah yes you right . I dont ever mind the focus speed.

I just tell him it is slower than Sigma , That all what i mean . I dont really care how fast it is , as long as i can focus . i am not shooting action so i dont care about it .

What i mean is just tell him , is slower than Sigma that all =) Make it clear thanks

So far i never complaint any lenses or body. sweat.gif sweat.gif

How the lens focus? O.o
Based on my understanding, the SWM is just a motor. The rest is left for you to explain to me about the relationship between this motor and the "low light".

Yeah, no one would give a damn if that 50mm is selling RM9.90. Unfortunately it is not and the price is about 1500++. For that kinda price I don't see any harm in criticizing or being little harsh in demanding a good product. 1500++ is not a small amount to most of us and of course we want very buck well spend.
*
See what you want lo....You are the one who spending , i suggest you go to camera shop test.

For me i dont really care focus speed , i use prime to shoot static object mostly.

As you can say SWM = motor. Go read more regarding AF-D lens and AF-S lens
You will know why AF-S 50mm can lock almost instantly while AF-D might hunt !

Correct, the AF-S might be slower but its more accurate. The 85mm behaves this way. The 1.4D versus 1.4G that is. The 1.4D is faster, but hunts more and not as accurate.

Hello guys,

I'm looking forward to purchase my first DSLR and I have gotten this offer from a shop in PJ:

Standard package: D7000 Kit + Nikon Bag + 8GB SD = RM4,500
Standard package + Kenko UV Filter = RM4,580
Standard package + Kenko UV Filter + Upgrade to 8GB Sandisk Ultra = RM4,680

Fotopro Tripod (can be unattached into monopod) = RM480

And because I'm getting together with my friend, the shop offering us further RM50 off which we can purchase the Glass Type Screen Protector.

What do you guys think about the package? unsure.gif

Or perhaps any other shop recommendation? smile.gif

tried to mount and unmount already ... i tried using my tripod to shoot ... manual & auto focus ... auto focus is a hit & miss ... manual if larger than f/4 sure back focus ... sigh ...
*
using small aperture is harder to tell back/front focus because the depth of field is covered more.

Are you shooting in low light?
Are you using external flash? If yes, is the flash AF assist lamp turned on?
If no flash, is the on camera AF Assist lamp turned on?

When the focus is locking on, is it lock-on instantly or does it judder a little while locking on?
