Sharp for the money! hahaha
of course the 70-200 gonna be sharper, but again, I'm just a boy not yet a man! it's almost 3.5k more!
*
Then u should stop buying lens using your parents money and get the 1.8D for half the price of 1.4D laugh.gif

Going to the middle of March. The shop I went only have the first batch of d7k, so ask them to order a new body for me  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

How much is the MB-D11? Anywhere to get the cheapest price? And how much are each of the battery?

Also have heard that the 85 1.8D is only usable from f4 onwards, anyone here use it in a DX before? Wanna buy it to use it wide open, if it's true might get the 1.4D instead.
*
i have d300s + 85mm f1.8D with me on previous month, a poor man lens for poor man like me..xD
so far so good as just normal usage during travel..xD
some sample photo on F2-F2.2

Wait till they have friends with another lens then they compare and regret  laugh.gif
Actually the 80-200 is heavier from what i feel but the specification sheet says otherwise, 70-200vr2 is very well balanced while the 80-200 is very front heavy  doh.gif
*
True about the balanced weight, plus the build quality, feel, etc about the 70-200mm VR2 is simply amazing. One heck of a lens. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(pikipiki @ Feb 15 2011, 04:35 PM)
woooo, you're one bad fella to be with!  laugh.gif
I'm not a pro and not making $$$ with my gears so that little bit difference in color is okay to me.

How much is the G around Klang Valley, think it's gonna be too pain for me! laugh.gif

Talking about telephoto, how about the 70-300? it's cheap and it's quite sharp apparently.  rclxm9.gif
*
It depends on you, if can, I would pay a little more and get the 80-200mm f/2.8D.

Haha, didn't know you're not replying to me as you didn't quote any and your reply is right after mine.

Anyway, i'm only a student and don't have a rich dad.
It's my savings from allowances and jobs plus some investments.
So yeah I know i'll be drooling for the G but I'm ok with the quality of image I see with the D and see some comparison of the color of both the D and G, I find myself ok with the D color just that the G performs much better with back lit situation.

Who doesn't know the newer tech and the newer lens are better? Just that i have my budget and I'm buying it for my hobby so there's no need to buy all the top lenses in order to enjoy it.

But then, never know, some of my trades can suddenly come good and boom I'll be buying a G! laugh.gif

At the moment, D is fine for me.

This I LIKE; The shop is close to you? Or regular shop?
It's important to test till we're sure/etc. but some of us don't get to do it, or shy, etc. Regret later only have ownself to blame, so if can, always try to test until satisfied.
