hey bro u bought your d7k?
there is MB-D11 if not mistaken. tongue.gif

Going to the middle of March. The shop I went only have the first batch of d7k, so ask them to order a new body for me laugh.gif laugh.gif

How much is the MB-D11? Anywhere to get the cheapest price? And how much are each of the battery?

Also have heard that the 85 1.8D is only usable from f4 onwards, anyone here use it in a DX before? Wanna buy it to use it wide open, if it's true might get the 1.4D instead.

okay bro.. looking forward for your D7k. My dream camera wub.gif hahaha...
I thought 85 1.8 is pretty good for it's price. else you can get 85 1.4 D or 85 1.4 G if you have enough money. biggrin.gif
buy buy buy.. hahahaha

Yeah it is pretty good for it's price, but some reviews says there's very bad CA and soft focus below f4. 1.4G is too expensive for me and little bit flare is okay for me so don't need that nano coating. laugh.gif

Will try out the BG when i purchase it now that i know it existed icon_rolleyes.gif

The later I purchase it the more I look around and the more I would ended up spending. shakehead.gif

don't know where you heard that but it's not true. of course you need to step down to get optimal sharpness but i find it usable at all aperture.

seldom use it at 1.8 though. too little dof. i start at f2.

that said, just go get the 85mm 1.4. the 1.8 has low tolerance to fringing sad.gif

QUOTE(BenSow @ Feb 15 2011, 02:28 PM)
that's good news... but normally people use battery grip when they're lens too big or they photographer for event right? because i rarely run out of battery tongue.gif
*
I dont use battery grip but i got 2 batteries , but sometimes i feel like when my batteries run out , i need to change and need to get it from my bag , usually i dont like carry bag with me when i am shooting , so that time i feel that i need battery grip. That is me . Other ppl want battery grip for what i dont know.

Malaysia can get around RM3500 for 1.4D, somehow i like the built quality of the D more than G. The D is lighter as well but not all people like the washed out colour of it compared to the G brows.gif

If I have battery grip, should I get it off or have it on always ?
If the event 30 minutes, so what ? It's good for vertical grip. Show off ? Yesh to those idiots not to those who always shoot portrait.

Add on : it helps to balance up my camera too whenever my 70-200 is there. And those who think no need, probably, the lens is not heavy.
*
For those who do a lot of portraits, the BG is a must, mine never leaves the camera... If u think dun need BG with lens, then your lens is not heavy nor big enough laugh.gif The lenses below that I have tried definitely benefits from BG

1. 70-200vr2/80-200 f.28
2. 24-70 F/2.8 nikkor
3. 14-24 f/2.8 nikkor

Prime lens still ok but except those super telephoto prime lens notworthy.gif
