I started using the physical KB for typing exclusively after I realised i make more typos with the on-screen KB. It's frustrating having to keep correcting typos. This is especially true on a non-Sense ROM coz there's no implementation of the magnifying mirror, making navigating the cursor a PITA.
Not to mention playing emulators is so much more fun with the physical KB. P/S: I'm selling off this phone now. This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Apr 1 2011, 10:20 AM |

What? yeah, I might not be selling this phone, just maybe looking for another one, like incredible S or.. desire Z-s that kinda thang Not to mention playing emulators is so much more fun with the physical KB. P/S: I'm selling off this phone now. My desire z is as good as bricked They say the Gingerbread update for DZ already comes rooted? This post has been edited by deslim: Apr 1 2011, 11:07 AM |

Instead of loose hinge, sleeping beauty... One problem I seem to be facing is my power button seemingly getting harder to press O.o

^yeah have that prob too. Only plan is to have a habit of waking using the trackpad and minimise clicking the power button to sleep.
@deslim whoah what happened? How bricked is it? AFAIK there're two types of bricks: soft brick and hard brick. Soft brick means can power up but can't boot. Hard brick is can't do no sh*t. Got try flashing it using an RUU? I'll be c*cked if it's an April's Fool joke. Coz mine was. The leaked Gingerbread rom is an internal test ROM, which explains the su permission it has. Hmm.. the trackpad wake does it only 'wakes it up'? Or can it be used to turn it off as well. (So I don't have to turn it off with power button and on with trackpad) Sorry for asking these questions that is seemingly easy to be answered as I'm not rooted

only wake. Sleep still need to use power button. Only available on custom ROMs that have it (which is like most of it).

internet pass-thru is a HTC Sense feature. I've done it before, going online on the Z thru USB using the computer's internet connection.
For computer go online using the Z's connection, I'm not sure coz haven't done so before. There's always the wireless hotspot feature though. |

Just go under Wireless & Network at settings > Tethering & Portable Hotspot. You can choose to make Wifi hotspot or just use USB.

nope. No problem with mine with the FN key.
lol keyboard smartphones are not that particularly popular in malaysia. This is to be expected. I'd rather have a slow moving thread than one that moves fast but is mostly chat talk. Serves no purpose as a platform of information exchange. |
