they are supposed to sell the phone without contract too, but the sales staff will always try to palm off a contract to you....i suspect they get better commission that way.......

torn now between a legit full warrantee set, or take a chance with ap set and save some money.....

btw, for the few difference between z and tmg2, is it okay with the g2 for use in msia?.......

Well is with htc sense and without sense... actually in spec wise it is the same...

Im looking for a trustable place to buy a cheap AP HTC Desire Z with warranty in Subang/KL. Anyone here can recommend a trustable place perhaps the shop you bought your HD Z from. Like name of shop and where not just Lowyat or Sunway. Im not planning to buy from Maxis or anywhere that sell for more than RM2k. Waited for 3 months to buy this HP. SPM results are out and i can finally buy this HP. biggrin.gif

Foo, damn, have to make Goldcard pulak. but this is the first time I feel like I understand everything. Will have to take the risk to downgrade straight from 1.8 to 1.3

After convincing my parents, my parents finally agree to buy for me ONLY by credit card not cash since they want to pay by installment, get points etc. Also Im not comfortable with buying online.

You always power down your phone one ah? Why ah?

If you boot up after removing battery, it IS supposed to take longer to boot up, because it is doing an actual boot up.

If you power down, but did not remove battery, then the phone will be under a 'hibernate' mode that 'boots up' kinda fast.

@iKyleZ, about buying the Desire Z,
so far the shops that I see selling the Desire Z ori are selling it bundled with a contract. Maybe you can ask around LYN sellers see they have ori sets left or not.

if you restart you phone also very slow one.. coz it closes all the apps and do a clean boot...

* there is 3 items after u long press the power/sleep button...
Power off - Shutdown your phone... boot up faster than restart...
Airplane mode - Off all communication network and data connection
Restart - close all apps and have a clean restart... boot up longer than power off...

This is a proof that battery can indeed last for a long time, of coz with wireless off and mostly on standby and some occasionally calls... biggrin.gif

After i calibrate my battery on stock rom, it last really long (:

if you are playing game - off data connection. If u are on the run - use 2g only. Use 3g when you need to download stuff.

Also, usually i have my laptop with me almost everytime. I on my laptop and put it in the bag, plug in the usb cable for g2 and take out the cable from the bag through the little space i made from closing both my bag zip.

Thanks to the length of the usb cable i can freely use my g2 on the run especially when its dieing.
