Yesterday we are a little bit lucky not to lose the game to Everton. Second half Liverpool play poorly, really really poor, the midfield can't control the ball well, we conceded the ball too easily to opponents and luckily Everton also not in shape yesterday, if not Everton will be the winner.

The early 2nd half equaliser doesn't helps. Given Liverpool recent runs, we're low in confidence. I'm sure the players are asking questions in their mind & having doubts, those negative thoughts are costing us.

But I can see there's improvement with just 1 week KD in charge even without both captain & vice captain on the lineup. I'm sure we'll get better. Have faith fellow reds. smile.gif

i think KD replace Agger is the biggest mistake because Agger player better than Skertel (or maybe Skertel cannot perform without Agger)... Both goals are from Skertel's fault. On other note, Lucas is too slow... i am very tense when Lucas got the ball, eventho he played key role in midfield in stopping Everton's attack but his controlling really needs to improve and speed up because opponents press him very fast and easily he lost the ball... anyway, Anfield was very lively because of KD, not necessary to win game but to impress the fans is more important (remember "Gladiator" movie - win the spectator) smile.gif

Based on last night commentator, Agger was injured (so far none of news I came across saying what kind of injury), I don't think any manager would want to change the CB at half time, with little threat from opponent.
It was a forced move, I reckon.

They are a different team. This was the first derby since 2002 that they entered without the men deemed their heart and soul. Minus Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, Dalglish ensured the natives had two representatives. A couple of surging runs furthered Martin Kelly's burgeoning reputation but Jay Spearing was the surprise inclusion. Compared to Gerrard, whose position he occupied, Spearing is the second-rate Scouser. But one man with an affinity to the club selected another.

"Steven might not get [back] in, you never know," said Dalglish mischievously. "But I don't care where they're born. If Jay had been born in Scotland, he'd still have played."

Interesting comment from KD.

laugh.gif Maybe because i am not by nature a very competitive person and winning is actually secondary for me... I love the fact that Liverpool FC brings so many of us together and also the values that have always been associated with the club and its supporters.

Wasn't Agger ill and unable to continue? Although how can one suddenly fall ill baffles me, unless if he was indeed ill before the match. In that case, the lad's not going anywhere - KK must deem him more important than any of the other CBs! laugh.gif

KK tweets, do any of the other managers do that? Seeing him thank the supporters for cheering the team on last night was a refreshing and pleasant change!

Also, Stephen Warnock seems to be coming back on loan! hmm.gif Not too sure about this one, but it is telling that the revamped management seems to have booted Woy's team selection and tactics right out the door... now if we can only convince Mascherano's wife that living in Liverpool is a worthy sacrifice to keep the hubby's career prospects alive laugh.gif

@cherroy KK was being cheeky. brows.gif

Agger was out due to illness. i thought both Skrtel and Krgriakos share the blame for both Everton's goals. Anfield was very lively thanks to the return of KD but if KD don't get to produce a win soon, he will risk of losing the fans support too and also his legendary status will be tarnished. It is important for KD to win ASAP since EPL already entered the 2nd half of the season. One thing i noticed is the confidence growing and the fans no longer abusing the players which should give players a moral boost. Now it is up to the players to step up their game and get a result.

I doubt anything will ever tarnish our support and love for KK.

He's been at the helm for 7 days only and the specter of Rafa has effectively been banished. Rafa's sitting twiddling his thumbs in Liverpool an not one person is currently campaigning for his return. Woy did not manage to do this in the seven months that he was in charge.

The wins have not come, but the performances and spirit are slowly but surely returning. The fans are no longer bickering internally. We're not out of trouble yet, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Having said that, a win would do wonders.

To add to my earlier post, it is telling that Woy's 'boys' barring Meireles seem to have been phased out. Konchesky hasn't made the bench yet so far has he? Even Aurelio seems to have been deemed a lesser player compared to Johnson in an unfamiliar position hmm.gif Poulsen was given a game and quietly discarded. What of Joe Cole? Is he injured or unavailable, or also deemed 'not good enough'? I was under the impression earlier that with KK's approach, he would be favouring players who can actually play?

KK? kevin Keagan? it's KD bro. Kenny Dalglish.

i think KD experimenting the squad to see who really worth to play in his first team choice. that's why he release a statement that Stevie G might not get into his team. maybe a challenge statement to pull Gerrard out of his comfort zone and start work very hard to earn his 1st team recognition.

Regarding Woy's mens, not sure. no reports on Joe Cole's injury. Kelly was excellent in RB position which justified his selection. Both Aurelio and Konchesky not very solid in the left back position.

the biggest bloody thing KD hasn't done is to whine "it's not my players". I glad he is instead making do with the available players as he needs 101% from every single one of the them. (but I guarantee the backroom recruiting will be dicussed & be looked into)

I dont think he (KD) really cares who's who but would want an inspired team performance & that will need to help from players to ball boys.

Truth be told, if Suarez does indeed come to Liverpool, I will support and cheer him on. Will never warm up to him though. He will forever be a blatant cheat, but as least he'd be 'our blatant cheat' and deserves a temporary stay of execution laugh.gif

One more thing, if the owners had any doubt about reappointing KK, the ovation he got and the buzz around Anfield last night would have forever dispelled those thoughts.

I think I tukar, you are rebelious tongue.gif

Winning or no, I'm just glad that the King is back, I did tell a friend a couple of days ago, winning is secondary now that King Kenny is back, winning is just a bonus and perhaps us finishing mid table may do us, supporters good as well. Less expectation, less pressure towards the players and we can see how many "loyal" players are there in Liverpool.

Kind of like Juventus and Newcastle Utd. They did come back pretty well didn't they?

Word has it that Liverpool have officially bid for Suarez, this is what i read from the Rawk forums. So take it with a pinch of salt i urge y'all biggrin.gif

Lots of you peeps have put your forth thoughts on Suarez, from being a cheat, right up to being a national hero in Uruguay, I guess that stems from his competitiveness to win cant blame him for being that way although one could wish that he could curb that habit.

If he does indeed come, which looks more likely now, of course ill support him like any other players currently at the club. Gerrard isnt labelled "Starfish" for nothing does that stop us from supporting him?

I dont see the point of chastising a player for his past, could only hope that he can tone down on his antics, & lets not overreact now shall we? Suarez is effin' quality, if we can accept that Diouf, Suarez is miles better off than him!

P.S: We'll be facing United at Anfield, Suarez can dive how many times he wants! laugh.gif

thinking the same thing too...Wilson might be novice in EPL but his first team appearances in the Scottish league should help.....thing is Skrtle looks less like a EPL defender each day...sad...really had high hopes for him when he first arrived....
