QUOTE(berzerk @ Jan 17 2011, 09:08 AM)
Spearing did well last night, some of his tackling was very rigourous (but fair).
Kelly was good in the first half but he was left a bid exposed in the 2nd half when Everton had more possession.
Jonjo impressed with his passing when he came on.

Lucas impressed me in his deep-lying role. He just needs to toughen up a bit.

Might as well salvage something from this season & play the young boys including Wilson & Pacheco. It would be worth finishing mid-table if some young came players came through to the starting 11.

i tot spearing was juz o.k last nite....but still better la than the pemalas poulsen...more impressed by shelvey & kelly thumbup.gif

Liverpool really need a good center defender and a holding-midfielder. The second goal for Everton is a really bloody lame defend from Liverpol, we should not have conceded the second goal!!!
*
to be more precise we need ball winner midfielder ala masch!...68% possesion for everton in the 2nd half was mind boggling!! shakehead.gif

Yesterday we are a little bit lucky not to lose the game to Everton. Second half Liverpool play poorly, really really poor, the midfield can't control the ball well, we conceded the ball too easily to opponents and luckily Everton also not in shape yesterday, if not Everton will be the winner.
*
sorry bro...i tot everton were the one who were lucky not to loose...i cant remember they create many chances, but i'm surely remember liv got 2-3 good chances including torres which came back off the post..overall liv played good futbol but individual mistake cost us! shakehead.gif

Hopefully, not only will he be on the bench but be a super sub and eventually play regular first team football. I agree he needs to buff up a bit cause it ain't like in the reserves team football no more. It's going to be physical and harsh on him since he's small in size but I believe he's got what it takes to be on the first team. Feeling nostalgic, seeing a young player from Liverpool playing so well, almost like when Owen and Gerrard made it to Melwood.

read some funny story bout suso at rawk while training with the 1st team..he'll say sorry everytime he dribbled past senior player laugh.gif laugh.gif

Suarez lines up Anfield move after telling Ajax he wants to join Reds
By Rory Smith
Tuesday January 18 2011

Liverpool target Luis Suarez is believed to have made it clear to Ajax that he would be prepared to leave the Dutch club for Anfield should a suitable offer arrive in the remaining two weeks of the January transfer window.

The Eredivisie side's new boss, Frank de Boer, has stripped the Uruguayan international of the club captaincy after a number of controversial incidents and is thought to be resigned to losing the striker in the coming weeks.

Liverpool have emerged as favourites to secure Suarez's services after Tottenham chose not to further their interest in the 23-year-old, who will only contemplate a move to England should he be able to join a club with a core of Spanish-speaking players.

Though Ajax are prepared to listen to offers substantially below the £35m valuation they placed on the striker after an impressive World Cup, the Dutch club will not countenance selling the player for less than £18m.

Whether Liverpool match that fee will depend on whether the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group, believe Suarez's age, potential and marketing power make him a worthwhile investment.

Manager Kenny Dalglish and director of football strategy Damien Comolli will doubtless attempt to convince the group's principal backers -- John W Henry and Tom Werner -- of that in the coming days.

Dalglish and Comolli have also scouted Wigan winger Charles N'Zogbia intensively in recent weeks, and the Frenchman may prove a cheaper alternative to another long-term target, Aston Villa's Ashley Young.

The England international would cost around £15m should Villa choose to release him, roughly twice what N'Zogbia may cost.

Another Villa player, left-back Stephen Warnock, is also being monitored. Dalglish may look to bring the 29-year-old back to the club he left in 2007 on an initial loan until the end of the season.

look at the squad list. he doesnt even have a first team number. which is needed for a place in first team.
dont get me wrong, i'd love to see him playing for first team, but first i think he might need to hit the gym. EPL players always need good physical.

having a gud physique is an advantage but not a must..fabregas is not that big..same as nasri..most important thing is game intelligence..if u have that, size was juz a small matter nod.gif

The only reason to go for N'Zogbia is the fee.  tongue.gif
I wouldn't thinks so, the 1st thing RB did was telling Torres to beef up physically to handle the rough & tumble of BPL.
Even Alonso improves physically compare to when he first arrived.
The worry is, with such slight frame, he'll be shoved of easily by the defenders, prone to injury or even loss of confidence.
Actually think Spearing should be the one taken out as we're chasing the game & from what I saw, he offered next to nothing in the final third.
I'm not slighting him but don't he be better equipped as water carrier role aka Deschamps role? As I noticed he played much higher than Lucas & Meireles. Maybe KD wish him to close down opponents deep in their own half but really, he's limited attacking wise.
*
what RB tell torres was true..the physique will make a huge advantage if u are a striker!.. ..suso is more of a fabregas+iniesta mould..not a finisher but more of a creator nod.gif

if u saw the video compilation of him..he's not that easy to shove off the ball from bigger, taller opponents..u can see how gud he creates space for himself..think thats the quality that makes fabregas & other small frame player successful in EPL nod.gif

suso plays a bit similar to iniesta than messi, having said that, he looks more like pacheco...anyway, what happen to pacheco, never heard anything from him ..
*
yup he's more iniesta type...playing lil bit deeper...as comparing him to pacheco...suso was better than pacheco at the age of 17...that's why he only on the bench..at best playing only as a sub nod.gif

apparently ajax wants 22m for suarez..whereas we only bid for 17m...all we have to do now is wait...plus we have other options in hazard, lukaku & young..no need to act desperately rolleyes.gif

Liverpool have already made offer for Anderlecht whiz Lukaku

Liverpool have already made a bid for Anderlecht starlet Romelu Lukaku.

Anderlecht's president has already declared he expects the teen to move to England.

Liverpool originally presented an offer that would reach €23 million including add-on payments for appearances at club and international level, according to reports. It is now understood that the Belgian champions want a fee in the region of £25 million.

An attacking foil for Fernando Torres is thought to be the priority for the Merseysiders, and Liverpool have money to spend following the arrival of NESV as the new owners at the end of the summer.

those who disagree with me that we brought in too many flops previously is really an ignorant egoist.

don't forget how much we spend on Robbie Keane, Bellamy, Johnson, Pennant, Aquilani, Josemi, Krompkamp, Leto etc...

and we let go Peter Crouch and these players easily ie. Smicer, Hypia, Hamann, these players can still play actually. They can be like Scholes or Giggs in the team, where we lack off now.

We shouldn't release players or sell for profit just for that few millions, see why Brown, O' shea never complain of not getting enough matches? Because they know....and respect SAF.
*
kromkamp free..josemi was a cheap buy..bellamy was never a flop..we sold him for a profit...keane i agree..biggest flop under Rafa..crouch was making noises bout not getting a game..rafa have to sell unhappy player..and we got profit from it..johnson flop??...yea rite!!..but to compare with other clubs..our transfer record is not that bad...sheva for 30m & now where he's playing?..remember Veron for 28m??..crocked hargreaves for 17m??...every club has their bad buys..u will never see a club got their transfer 100% right! nod.gif
