QUOTE(berzerk @ Jan 17 2011, 09:08 AM)
Spearing did well last night, some of his tackling was very rigourous (but fair).
Kelly was good in the first half but he was left a bid exposed in the 2nd half when Everton had more possession.
Jonjo impressed with his passing when he came on.

Lucas impressed me in his deep-lying role. He just needs to toughen up a bit.

Might as well salvage something from this season & play the young boys including Wilson & Pacheco. It would be worth finishing mid-table if some young came players came through to the starting 11.

i tot spearing was juz o.k last nite....but still better la than the pemalas poulsen...more impressed by shelvey & kelly thumbup.gif

Liverpool really need a good center defender and a holding-midfielder. The second goal for Everton is a really bloody lame defend from Liverpol, we should not have conceded the second goal!!!

It's more like he's trying to motivate the current players, without publicly announcing the area that need to bring new faces.

You're only as good as your last game. There is no need for us keep looking backward of our glorious moment.

right on. its time for a shake down & earn stabilty at LFc (points). I trust KD has the qualities.

Our defense is pretty bad...I think our defense is worse than Wolves' when Carra or Agger is not around (esp. Carra)! Very bad marking and awareness in the box...I've supported Liverpool since about 10 years ago but I've never seen our defense so shaky and lack of confidence to win headers. Everytime Everton take a corner or free kick my heart is pounding...

No wonder we are terrible under Uncle Woy, he's trying his best to play a defensive approach with counter attacks and long balls/hoofs....but our defense is the one causing all sorts of problems to ourselves and losing confidence in the process.

I think all the other EPL teams will know how to break down our defence...by simply delivering high or long balls with or without set pieces. Sigh...we need to get a CB fast. Agger has issues with his injuries and if it continues, It will not do us any good. We were too reliant on Carra's shouting and instructions, and hell break lose when he's not around.

Skrtel still doesn't seem World Class to me, I've seen him day in and day out...and he's just an average mistake prone CB. We could get rid of him or injury prone Agger and get another proper CB please. Someone who can shout and command in case Carra isn't around.

In our attacking department, things are looking not bad. Even when we are missing Gerrard, we still have shots on target and Torres just lack a bit of luck today to nick at least one goal. I hope Gerrard returns and make the whole team stronger by supplying more passes, make more forward runs and open up more spaces for the others.

its my sore point of LFc for a while but glaringly & disasterly exposed this season. We are too realiant of carra (mr multitask/stop gap defender) & so much we never seemed to want to improve at CB/defense. yes he's (carra) much appreciated old faithful but he's being overly utiltise & we never recruited someone better.

i find it comical and ironic that Carra's stock has improved no end by virtue of him not playing! laugh.gif

Straight from the horse's mouth...

Puts paid to the it's a reaction arguement init? Blatant unrepentant cheat. I wish he would go and win his trophies somewhere else.

i just read back a few pages to find our discussion regarding suarez's handball debate. its a bit late i know but lemme just erm, give my last opinion on this...

football perhaps should adopt basketball's rule of goal tending. if a shot is goal bound, and a player delibrately use illegal ways aka hands to try to divert it, the goal should just stand, and its up to further debate as to whether to red card, yellow card, sin bin etc for that player. i think this will stop such events from occuring again, and i think is the fairest to all parties especially the attacking team

i dont know, if carra one day uses his hand to prevent an everton goal, this will surely spark a mega debate laugh.gif

He probably will. The real question will be if he openly flaunts the act in public or show remorse (in public). Suarez is too keen to show that he is proud of what he did, which is why I dislike him so much.

lets face it. nowadays players coming out to confess something, how many are just doing another PR exercise? at least the bloke is honest and brave enough to confess it. anyway he should have just kept quiet abt it biggrin.gif

Yesterday we are a little bit lucky not to lose the game to Everton. Second half Liverpool play poorly, really really poor, the midfield can't control the ball well, we conceded the ball too easily to opponents and luckily Everton also not in shape yesterday, if not Everton will be the winner.

i think KD replace Agger is the biggest mistake because Agger player better than Skertel (or maybe Skertel cannot perform without Agger)... Both goals are from Skertel's fault. On other note, Lucas is too slow... i am very tense when Lucas got the ball, eventho he played key role in midfield in stopping Everton's attack but his controlling really needs to improve and speed up because opponents press him very fast and easily he lost the ball... anyway, Anfield was very lively because of KD, not necessary to win game but to impress the fans is more important (remember "Gladiator" movie - win the spectator) smile.gif
