The Samsung Galaxy S2 is on course for a 4 March 2011 release date in the UK, with the handset priced at £549 unsubsidized. I think it means 'not decided yet'.

unsubsidized means "no contract" price.

its a relieve to know that we know its very close unofficial price.
but 2 things i want to mention again, is this 32 gb or 16 gb model,
secondly, is this VAT included?? I pray to god so... that way we can minus 17% off from 550 pounds, about 93 pounds?? that brings us to a 456-7??
and il be godlike happy if its a 32 gb model, that way, even cheaper for 16gb mayb to a total of 420?? thats like 2k ringgit lol.
ok im dreaming too much, sleep...

let me make a guess(based on my experience with SGS from UK)
most of the prices listed in UK are included with VAT
assuming the case same with SGS, UK online store such as expansys/clove/handtec/etc will list out the lower capacity model which is 16GB first..
32Gb mostly for carriers like Maxis, etc

jsut my 2 cents

im guessing that it wont be as good as both of those, but still qualcomm chips have been stable so far.. as it is an intergrated SOC, everything is stable even for wifi and GPS.. only some simple software fixes is needed incase its problematic for certain phone model.. thats the advantage of snapdragons

orion are expected to go 120mil triangle p/s - but who knows what samsung did as it loses to SGX540 in benchmarking of the optimus 3D
sgx540 in optimus 3d (300mhz in optimus 3D with updated drivers, the previous in SGS is 200mhz with older driver) is 90mil triangle p/s
ulv geforce in tegra2 is around 85-90mil triangle p/s
adreno220 is 80mil triangle p/s

it now depends on how phone manufacturers make the phone work out to be well.. a powerful hardware needs a great software to make it a good daily driver... adreno series are always a step back but even SE goes for Adreno205 and promises 70fps in their games (adreno205 is somehow around 45mil triangle p/s)

seems like in term of hardware, orion suppose to give better result? anyway, samsung sgs still better in term of graphic compare to desire hd.... notworthy.gif

I don't think VAT is included - add in 17 % the price is £642 which is very close to UK Expansys price of 16GB model at £649.99

http://www.expansys.com/samsung-i9100-gala...ii-16gb-209114/

Which is close/similar to expansys Spore pricing the 16GB model at s$1325

http://www.expansys.com.sg/samsung-i9100-g...ii-16gb-209114/

The previous SGS already retails officially RM 2599 to 2699 - don't think this newerr model can be cheaper , possibly minimal similar pricing as current SGS

I believe should be VAT inclusive, expansys are notoriously well known for jacking up pre-order price before they are confirmed. For example www.clove.co.uk listed it as £440.00
£528.00 inc. VAT. Now this is more believable isn't it? £650 is just overly ridiculous. And trust me, clove price is very accurate as i have personally bought from them before smile.gif

true indeed.. eventhought it was the powerVR SGX540 in SGS is clocked lower, it still goes hardcore.. im guessing that cortex A8 cant utilize max clock of SGX540.. that might be the reason why the dual cortex A9 with dual memory in Optimus 3D is able to sorta max out the ultimate power of SGX540.. even iPhone5 is rumored to be using either 540 or 545(which is sorta a slightly enhanced version of 540 but still a lot similarities)..

In terms of CPU n GPU processing, every SOCS have their own abilities.. Samsung is not losing anything from using Tegra2.. users will have a wider option to choose which SOC they wish for.. but the abilities of Tegra2 and Exynos(orion) are quite similar in a way.. both win in different benchmarks resulting sorta a tie overall.. Snapdragons are late, they r not that bad but they are playing catching up with the others while other manufacturers will go forward a step ahead compared to qualcomm

SGS2 VS Optimus 3D and Optimus 2X = three different SOCs which will be very interesting.. both will pawn each other but im guessing the overall score would be a tie between these three.. Optimus 2X might be losing a point since it aint got no extra attractions while Optimus3D has dualmemory n 3D cam n SGS2 has the super amoled plus
