QUOTE(hengguowei @ Feb 17 2011, 09:46 PM) very true. This phone isnt justifying its 3k estimated price tag for the time being. But then again, they are running low on stock for the amoled and their exynos. Id still get the sgs2, dont care either one processor, but the screen, if they change, then seriously??? 3k???? haha, no thanks, im sure they will have no trouble to find another buyer who isnt a smart consumer. il wait for HTC then. |

Guys, anyone here owns both the blackberry and the SGS? i own a bb and i am so used with their push notifications and the ease of opening an app straight away right after getting a new notification. Is the notification system on the SGS equally good, for people who have used both the SGS and bb?
Because, to me notifications are very important and i want a phone with a good notification system and i want to open apps like fb, twitter, whatsapp, etc with ease once i get a new notification. Because, if the android os on the SGS2 can do all these with ease, i will definitely get one |

QUOTE(Hico @ Feb 17 2011, 10:48 PM) Not sure... no benchmark for Adreno 220 yet.Added on February 17, 2011, 10:55 pm QUOTE(AceOfSpades @ Feb 17 2011, 10:49 PM) Guys, anyone here owns both the blackberry and the SGS? i own a bb and i am so used with their push notifications and the ease of opening an app straight away right after getting a new notification. Is the notification system on the SGS equally good, for people who have used both the SGS and bb? Your first part of the question should be directed to SGS thread, they can help you. For the second part... none of us have SGS2... still dreaming. QUOTE(Hico @ Feb 17 2011, 10:48 PM) im guessing that it wont be as good as both of those, but still qualcomm chips have been stable so far.. as it is an intergrated SOC, everything is stable even for wifi and GPS.. only some simple software fixes is needed incase its problematic for certain phone model.. thats the advantage of snapdragonsorion are expected to go 120mil triangle p/s - but who knows what samsung did as it loses to SGX540 in benchmarking of the optimus 3D sgx540 in optimus 3d (300mhz in optimus 3D with updated drivers, the previous in SGS is 200mhz with older driver) is 90mil triangle p/s ulv geforce in tegra2 is around 85-90mil triangle p/s adreno220 is 80mil triangle p/s it now depends on how phone manufacturers make the phone work out to be well.. a powerful hardware needs a great software to make it a good daily driver... adreno series are always a step back but even SE goes for Adreno205 and promises 70fps in their games (adreno205 is somehow around 45mil triangle p/s) This post has been edited by pluginbaby: Feb 17 2011, 11:00 PM |
