Let's wait until MWC 2011 in February, HTC and Samsung should be introducing some new phones by that time.

Really hope the rumor is true and Samsung, HTC should release some powerhouses to impress us!

Unless you're buying a phone for...benchmarking, I don't see the need for dual cores. Current phones are fast enough, and lately phones are having more of a.. renewed feature rather than an evolution.

SGS 2 will launch Q1 2011... was waiting for it but needed a phone so badly, in the end got myself a SGS. Very satisfy with it, don't think need to upgrade to SGS 2 so soon. laugh.gif

much of "does we need a dual core phone" question has been discussed before.

few of the biggest concern of dual core are the battery life and temperature issue like WiLeKiyO said.
my SGS @ full loaded also feel quite hot, 2 core should be double the hot if they are not taking good air flow/cooling solution into account.

this interview explains quite a lot about Tegra 2,
especially regarding the temperature and battery concern,
it is able to disable part of itself when under idle condition,
thus being more efficient in power consumption

Seriously, current phone at 1Ghz damn fast. Don't see a need for dual core. I would rather see more RAM....2GB RAM perhaps?? drool.gif

Unless coupled with a very powerful GPU, maybe a dual core will make some difference. I would rather see better cameras with xenon flash build into android phones....that would be perfect.

the thing is I am not concerning the idle state, I am more concern the full load state, like 3D gaming and long video shoot.

yes, they should improve more on battery life. still using the old same technology for the past 5 years or so.
