shudnt be much diff on the setting though .
well im using 2600k with hyper212+
doing 4.5ghz with 50gFlops on 1.4v vDroop 1.332v
now testing same voltage fgor 4.6ghz and drop to only 45gFlops .
and it is fluctuating .
is there any reason behind this ?
not enough voltage ?
cause iinm, saw owikh said that this SB is quite voltage dependent .
sweet spot of vCore will give better result .
same goes to PLL voltage >.<"
guess have to find a work around on this .
trying not to go more on vCore cause doing 83C already under load .

Lol farny
4sticks are dual channel.
And increase in vdimm is because of loss of vdimm in traceline and hence inconsistent termination voltage

Play some SuperPI32M, result not so good, still need to improve on memory timing and look for better memory. Still waiting, hehe

what will affect gFlops in this platform ?
i tried to find the sweet spot vCore for 4.5ghz, end up losing more gFlops on the last stable test 1.4v ...
kinda weird there . .

sp1 for windows ?
will try check that later .
and also where do i update the linpack ?
seems weird seeing the gFlops fluctuate everytime restart PC .
makes it hard to find the sweet spot for voltage and such .

alright, noted..bout dual channel am just not too sure interm of 64bits per/banks...thanks cstkl for clearing that up smile.gif...so now looking for decent timing smile.gif
emm quick question...do i need more than 4GB? IF most of the time purposely for gaming and adobe CS3 and abit of benchmark? izzit 8GB such a waste?

thanks in advance guys thumbup.gif

Make sure that ur windows is x64 (64bit), if not the x86 32bit windows will recognize as 3GB only
4GB should be enough for those purposes, but it wont hurt if u hv 8GB. Burst speed. 8GB is not a waste.
Hardcore photoshoper should go for 8GB, if u noticed the mem usage is increasing during photoshoping. Adobe engineer recommends mem usage not exceeding 70%.
Gaming, nowadays mostly will utilize up to 1.5GB only, the only game that i encountered consumes more than 2GB is Crysis. 3GB kit confirmed crash.

G.Skill RipjawsX, Kingston HyperX Genesis, etc... dont think u can find one in msia yet. I didnt say they are da best, but at least they r certified to pair with Sandy Bridge. Corsair Vangeance is confimed available at local stores. Other compatible rams pls refer to ur mobo manual. Elpida based ram which is extinct in the market might hv compatibility issue with 1155. PSC based is fine.

Well cant really tell u how Vengeance OC. But most likely it is able to do:
1600 7-8-7 or 7-9-7 @1.65v
1800 8-9-8 @ 1.65v
2000 9-9-9 @ 1.65v
Overrvolting is another thing
How to know? Anything mr Google cant help u?

Most prolly 2000 9-10-9 yes but theres always a trick to do 9-9-9 hehe..
Arghh btw i cant simply mix up between one 2GB stick from a kit with another kit it's unstable think one of the reason why couldnt do fine on 4 sticks.
