PLL doesnt hurt my GFolps, turning off AI suite helps me in getting 84Glops on HT and 132GFlops HT off. Meanwhile i just need to enable internal PLL overvolt 51x onwards.

Have a few problems here with my sandy bridge system.
*Refer to attached img* I am currently OCed to 4.2 GHz. I am pretty sure it is stable but I just did the torture test anyway, with the small fft in Prime95. However I have a few concerns though 1. Why is Core 0 and 3 much lower than Core 1 and 2? 2. The max temperature is pretty high for 4.2GHz, those guys in OC.net can do 5 GHz at 65+'C. Ambient temperature is 21'C now. 3. Also how come the core voltage is so low? I set it at 1.325V in BIOS. My Spec i5 2500k Gigabyte P67A UD3R Ripjaw 4GB DDR3 1600MHz QUOTE(ukimaro @ Feb 6 2011, 12:53 PM) guys im running my CPU back to stock settings. Err? Shouldn't you turn off turbo boost and adjust the multiplier yourself in BIOS?but when i run prime95 i cant reach 3.8ghz(turbo boost) furthest i saw went up to 3.7ghz . why's that ? how to make it up to 3.8ghz ? Prime95 won't do any OCing for you Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(kripkorn @ Feb 7 2011, 10:52 PM) The guys here post their numbers like it's a freaking holy grail for processor. No it's not. These things comes with some issues with the SATA2 ports. I'm not too sure of the full detail but apparently SB and it's P67 mobos generate too much errors on the SATA2 ports. This results in a shorter lifespan of your HDD and CDROM if you connect them to SATA2. THe only solution for this? Connect them to SATA3, which is what I've done. Intel is collecting all the motherboards back on April though. |
