QUOTE(SeeD @ Feb 6 2011, 01:26 PM) Have a few problems here with my sandy bridge system. *Refer to attached img* I am currently OCed to 4.2 GHz. I am pretty sure it is stable but I just did the torture test anyway, with the small fft in Prime95. However I have a few concerns though 1. Why is Core 0 and 3 much lower than Core 1 and 2? 2. The max temperature is pretty high for 4.2GHz, those guys in OC.net can do 5 GHz at 65+'C. Ambient temperature is 21'C now. 3. Also how come the core voltage is so low? I set it at 1.325V in BIOS. My Spec i5 2500k Gigabyte P67A UD3R Ripjaw 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Err? Shouldn't you turn off turbo boost and adjust the multiplier yourself in BIOS? Prime95 won't do any OCing for you yo bro . i OCed to 4ghz b4. but now i put it back to stock settings and its capable to go up to 3.8ghz with turbo on. but only can reach 3.7ghz. haha. yea i know that prime95 cant OC for me but it only reach 3.7ghz under full load. lol ur voltage is low coz i think its to do with the LLC. QUOTE(zzzz52 @ Jun 4 2011, 08:31 PM) ya it should be normal. the thermal paste will not have a dramatic effect like 10'c. oh i thought it will have improvements like 5c . i expect to have improvements from this paste since b4 i was using the stock paste..

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Jun 4 2011, 09:38 PM) well done bro. I've seen a lot of 4.5GHz at 1.25v-1.3v but depends on chip though. urs should be just another dud chip but good temps Gflops is correct on vanilla win7; SP1 is 100+ Gflops and much more stressful than the vanilla. Added on June 4, 2011, 9:44 pmdont expect much from TIM replacement it will be more or less in 2-3C difference only. 2-3C improvement is already meaningful for me. thanx bro !
