The Damned United [2009] UK

if you love English football, you might love this one. its a movie about the raising of Brian Clough, the British manager who've won European Cup back to back 1979-1980 with Forest.

the film covered his successful years at Derby County and his short spell at Leeds United, and also intense rivalry between him and Don Revie. the football scene (the match, the outfit, the crowd, etc) are very realistic and very well made.

(though few football facts are inaccurate), i love this movie. the reasons, i love English football and movies about football (or sports generally) are very hard to make and usually fail to deliver.

Rio (2011)

I'm drowning in work for the pass few weeks.

When it came to either choosing Rio or Source Code, I went for Rio.

Didn't think I could handle Source Code at this point in time... and I'm very happy I went for Rio!!

It has the ODDEST storyline (Think Brandon Fraser's George of the Jungle, when he called for Shappe) ever and it is fun Fun FUN!!!

The colours, the music THE JOY!!!

Twentieth Century Fox Animation has proven that they are offbeat (Ice Age anyone). I LOVE offbeat

You have no idea how much I needed this.

Cast is great with a few exceptions.

Not going to say who unless queried.

Would I recommend this to every Tom, Dick and Harry (or anybody with any names for that matter!!)??

green hornet - i like it. as usual Michel Gondry quirks the shit out of this flick. this dude has set a new standard for how split screen is implemented. the hardest button to button anyone?!!!

Source code - a fantastic sci fi movie . if u like twist stop u like this . ending is very good and makes u wanna cry and think about ur life if u didn't have the 8 minutes

8 contenders compete for a dream job (unstated). they need to find an answer to an unseen question in 80 minutes.

the build up are good and fascinating. but i dont like the ending (the question, WTF? )

i always fond of Nicolas Cage in my teen days.. The Rock, Con -Air, The Weather Man, among others are something i love to watch it over and over again. i'll never say he's a great actor though i love those movies.

and totally agree, he picked a shite movies these days..

nice comedy, simple story, and very inspiring.. love it.

It's Kind Of A Funny Story [2010]
Every 17 year old must watch this movie. Nice movie.

I thought the Green Hornet was decent too. It wasnt very good but it was tolerable and definitely not as bad as feared. At least it had Gondry's visual stamp over it- some of the action scenes were hard to see what exactly was happening even in slowmo, but shit it looked cool anyway.

I say 3/5
